As much as I live for summery days and light, bright evenings, there’s something so unbelievably cosy about autumnal nights spent under a hundred blankets with a luxe candle flickering, and a pot of tea on the side.
Around this time of year, my reading list gets a little out of hand – and for once, it’s not novels I’m stocking up on. Allow me to introduce what’s on the pile at the moment…
Aziz Ansari ‘Modern Romance’; Aziz is definitely one of my favourite humans, I just adore him! I’m surprised it’s taken me so long to get this book actually, especially as I’ve enjoyed Master Of None so much. Ugh, I’m seriously crushing on Aziz, you guys.
Usually I have a little skim-read of a book when I first get my hands on it, but I haven’t let myself even open this yet! I think I might save it for cosy wintery evenings in – I know I’m going to laugh until I cry – and maybe just… straight up cry – when I finally read through it.
Wallpaper San Francisco Guide; Okay, so hardly a riveting read for some, but we’re so excited for our SF trip next month. I’ve been before, but only for a work trip, and Jordan’s never been so we want to maximise our time there.
As usual, it’s cute shops and cocktails for me, and coffee stops for him. Time to map out the best spots in this adorbs little mint green book!
Annmarie O’Connor ‘The Happy Closet’; I love this idea of having some sort of capsule wardrobe, I purposely have only a small section for clothes so I’m forced to have a ‘one in, one out’ policy when it comes to clothes. It really works to make putting outfits together so much simpler!
I do need a helping hand to upgrade my wardrobe a little though, so I bought The Happy Closet in the hopes of learning a few tips and tricks. If I find it helpful, I’ll be sure to get a post together.
Georgie Clark ‘The Regulars’; The only true work of fiction here is this book which was recommended to me when I was looking at other books. I love the sound of it, it makes a change from all the crap “psychological thrillers” that are saturating Amazon right now!
This follows the story of three best friends who take a potion to make them pretty, and the changes that come with their new appearances. Kind of an interesting synopsis but definitely one I can get behind!
Adrianna Adarme ‘The Year Of Cozy’; Well hello, isn’t this read just me in book form? It’s no secret that I adore a coffee table book, and I’m all about the cosy life!
This combines everything from DIYs to craft projects and recipes and home updates, all without spending a lot. It seems like it’s just little ways you can live a nice life, which is what I’m all about!
Quite the reading list for the coming months! Have you read any of these?
