For Christmas parties and beyond…
One of my favourite things about Christmas is the chance to dress up, and I love that that so often means doing so from the comfort of your own home! It’s my chance to dig out my favourite sequin trousers to sit on the sofa sipping a cocktail while watching The Holiday with friends, or put up the Christmas tree while wearing my favourite feather-trimmed pyjamas.
If you adore dressing up just as much as I do, you’ll be glad to know I’ve put together a little edit of fun party looks suitable for festive drinks in the pub, your work’s Christmas do or snuggling up on the sofa with a chilled glass of secco in hand!
Option #1: A Christmas Jumper & Sparkly Trousers
Forever my favourite ensemble for putting up the Christmas tree, this is a lowkey look that feels comfy and festive. I’m wearing this Balzac Paris jumper which is so big and cosy, although also gets my vote.
For something a little more laidback, I love – anything to tick the ‘pop of red’ criteria this December!
As for the trousers, Whistles have you covered with I bought these last year as a post-baby option and I still adore them now, they are so flattering and I adore the hint of glitter.
Option #2: Your Fanciest Pyjama Set
I always get so much wear out of my favourite Sleeper set at this time of year, it really is such a classic piece! I have , although I love they brought out this year and the is just perfect! Best paired with and um, slippers. In my opinion.
Option #3: The Velvet Mini Dress
This dress is such a head-turner, the neckline is so flattering and the velvet fabric really is just beautiful. I always run to the Kitri site when I need something to wear for an event, their options are so fun and unique. If I had to pick a dress for an upcoming party, it would absolutely be this Kitri Valentina Dress*! Pair with a chunky heel like and you’re all set!
Option #4: Trousers & A Nice Top
I’m always a separates girly, I love mixing and matching cute tops and trousers! This Pink City Prints Midnight Garden Meryl Top* is such a flattering piece, and it really works well with a pair of chic trousers and a headband. A good one to throw on for work if you *know* you’ll end up in the pub afterwards!
Hooray for a little dressing up eh! I’ve included a few more ideas below if you need a little more inspo…
