My Favourite Everyday Accessories.

A few of my staples…

There was a time where I didn’t really wear much jewellery. I can’t pinpoint when this changed, but I think around the time I got engaged was definitely a turning point. I went from never ever wearing any rings, to wearing one every single day!
Since then I’ve got in the habit of putting on a necklace to suit my outfit, and I’ve got multiple piercings in each ear so I often change up to my earrings each day too.

After jewellery comes hair accessories; usually a headband or a clip of some kind! I think once you start introducing accessories, it becomes part of your routine. Plus, any sort of embellishment really elevates your outfit so it’s definitely worth the extra few minutes you spend deciding!

So, because spring seems like a good time to overhaul your jewels, here’s a little rundown of my most loved…

Earrings
I switch out my first lobe piercings every day, although I typically only wear a couple of different pairs of hoops on rotation! My favourites are either these Rock ’N’ Rose Etta hoops which I’ve had for years and years, or this Daisy Jewellery pair* which is from their beautiful Palms collection. I love the vintage style of these, and they’re compact enough to sleep in which is ideal if you don’t like the faff of changing them too often.

I have a couple of pairs of huggies that I wear often too, as well as lots of Helix & Conch pieces as they’re my go-to brand for keep-in piercings – like my Daith and Helix piercings.

Necklaces & Rings

I’m a big fan of Daisy Jewellery and tend to wear their pieces often because they don’t tarnish and I find the quality and designs just perfect. I’ve popped a few of my staples below, but the T-Bar pendant and their new Palm necklace* are my most loved. They’re such a timeless style – I remember growing up my mum always wore a T-Bar pendant so it feels very vintage to me.

As for rings, I still only really wear my wedding rings! I do have a grand total of four though so I think that’s a fair amount. I have a full post on my wedding jewellery here if you’re curious!
I would love to add another ring in to the mix, just an every day sort of one, but rings only seem to fit on my wedding finger and I couldn’t possibly fit any more on there.

Headbands & Hairclips

My headband collection is brimming with padded bands in various colours and textures – I wear a lot from Rock’n’Rose because they’re just the right size for a statement without looking silly. This pink padded velvet one is one of my favourites – I love the slight pattern to it!
As for hair clips, I seem to get these all over the place! They litter my dressing table as I’m always using them to keep my hair out of my face as I work – plus hair clips are an absolute godsend for second (or third!) day hair, they definitely distract from greasy roots!

I have so many pearl-style clips that I love, I’ve popped a few below for inspiration, along with lots of other favourites I had to share with you. Whenever I’m on the Oliver Bonas or Anthropologie websites, I have a quick look at their hair accessories as they always have a great selection.

What are you favourite pieces to wear day after day? Any shops I should check out?
