A hair refresh for winter…

Oh my, is that glossy ‘do here really mine? It doesn’t look like this normally!
I think I might be booking regular blow-dries after an appointment at the Sassoon Salon here in Glasgow this week, I’ve never seen my locks looking so swishy.
I’ve been feeling a bit defeated with my hair lately, winter really does a number on me and my hair always ends up looking so dull and lifeless. I guess the lack of sun, combined with the chilly temperatures… and also a bit of neglect on my part (I genuinely cannot remember the last time I took the time to pop in a hair mask!) have finally taken their toll.
When I popped in to Sassoon for a bit of TLC, I told the wonderful Lindsay that I need to revive my hair and she did the rest. Easy peasy.
I didn’t actually have the colour refreshed at all, but somehow even just the conditioning mask she whipped up, combined with one impressive blowdry, has me feeling like I’ve got a whole new head of hair. It. is. so. shiny!
I’m quite particular when it comes to the waves in my hair, but Lindsay managed to perfect my polished-yet-tousled look better than I ever have! Now I’ve got to make a return appointment…
The conditioning treatment used on my hair was one that was mixed up for my hair specially – a combination of nourishing and volumising properties to breathe life back in to my hair. Afterwards, Lindsay used a few of her favourite Sassoon products on my hair, before blowdrying and then curling sections to make the soft waves I love so much.
I noticed Lindsay using the the Sassoon Diamond Polish serum on my hair, which made it feel like silk and gave it a lovely soft shine to finish. I even made a mental note of the name so I could pick it up when I was done, I’m looking forward to giving it a whirl.
One home, to keep my blowdry lasting a little longer, I spritzed on a bit of the Sassoon Motion Hold Hairspray to keep my waves in tact. I’m not usually a hairspray user but I was desperate to hold on to this style for as long as possible (fine hair problems!), and luckily this lightweight mist goes undetected on even the thinnest of hairs – so no crunchy locks for this gal.
I’m living out my real life hair dreams here, I’m not used to my hair looking so full of life – and you have an excuse to book in for your own hair refresh!
Just find your nearest salon here (or call 0141 226 4484 if you’re Glasgow based like me!) and don’t forget to quote Kate La Vie for that 20% discount.
Will you be popping in to get super swishy locks?
