Everyday Beauty Staples.

I’m going to be honest with you – as much as I love trying new products, I’m totally a creature of habit! I usually use the same products daily until they’re used up, and then I’ll switch it up and give something else a go. It works for me, and it means I get a good idea of what I really love.
This is more true for skincare and haircare etc. (I am a little more adventurous with makeup I swear), so here’s a little rundown of what I reach for daily…

I have fine hair that gets tangled often so I can’t live without leave-in conditioner – I even find a way to pack it when I go away for the night! I ran out when we were in the US, which was a great excuse to pick up this cutie from Kristin Ess – who, by the way, is my ultimate girl crush!
This smells like my favourite perfume (more on that below), softens the hair like no other, and leaves my locks tangle-free. Woop!

I never used to find under-eye concealer all that essential, but I discovered the Bobbi Brown Corrector and I haven’t looked back! This works to neutralise dark circles, and it’s supposed to be used with the concealer on top but I find one quick slick of this little lovely is enough to perk up my eye area – it gives them that healthy awakened look, and it stays all day for brightened peepers in a flash.

I always, always use a primer – every single day. Sometimes I layer them up if I feel I need it, but it’s a step that seems to make a big difference considering how little effort it requires to apply.
My go-to is the Estee Lauder The Smoother, it’s the ultimate quick-fix for skin in need. It’s so silky and seems to work wonders on blemishes, uneven texture and surprisingly, redness.
One quick application after my moisturiser (and before foundation) is all I need for skin that looks fresh and flawless.

If you’re from Glasgow there’s no doubt you will have heard of NAF Salon – it’s pretty legendary. It’s owned by one of my closest friends, and they specialise in incredible nail art (I get all my cute manis done there!), swoon-worthy decor and just about the best playlists ever!
They released a line of cuticle oils a little while back and Tammy gave me a handful to try – I’m always suffering from dry, peeling cuticles (laaavely) but these have changed that!
The light oil comes in a handy brush pen for effortless application. I usually use ’em before bed for best results.
Plus, the scents are all delish – I’m currently working my way through Juicy Mango but Cherry Pie is another fave!

Finally, my favourite fragrance of them all. I recently realised that I’m actually quite picky when it comes to scents, and there’s only a few that I truly, truly adore – the ultimate being Byredo Mojave Ghost. Yes, I’ve talked about this before in insane detail, but I reach for it everyday. It’s my absolute favourite, with notes of amber, musk and violet coming together to create a floral, musky combo that lingers on skin beautifully! This deserves a spritz on counter, gals.

A few favourites that I haven’t strayed from in a long time! Do you have an easy routine that you stick to?

  • I love love LOVE the bobbi brown corrector – I’ve used it for years and it still remains a constant favorite. It’s so nice even for no makeup makeup days ‘cos it makes me look awake while still appearing natural with just the tiniest dark circles showing through. I have one on backup right now, hehe.

  • I really don’t think I could survive without my Bobbi Brown corrector, it literally gave me life when I had my daughter and somehow managed to function on 5 hours sleep a night! I also adore the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow and Diptyque’s Philosykos fragrance. I need to get me to a counter and have a sniff of that Mojave Ghost because it sounds incredible!
