Decorating With Fresh Blooms.

My mood is heavily dependant on the weather, so when the sun ain’t shining, things get a little gloomy around here. There’s one way I can usually be picked up though, and that’s with a few bouquets of fresh flowers. Seriously, who doesn’t instantly feel a little brighter when they see colourful blooms?!

We have a couple of florists on our road, so I tend to check in every few days to see what they have.
I usually have a big bundle of eucalyptus around, just because I think it looks so rustic and lovely – the mellow green tones really give every room such a fresh feel!
I have a lovely gold-rimmed vase from H&M that holds the stems beautifully.

I usually choose whatever pink or peach coloured flowers are going – obviously my first choice would be peonies, if they’re in season. I actually found a really nice bouquet of white peonies from my local florist, which is very rare!
I tend to check on the Bloom and Wild App to see what they’ve got new in, around this time their peony bouquets are arriving and they’re always the best! I got a couple of the Eloise bouquets last year and they were perfect.

This time of year is always the best time for blooms in general, so I recommend hitting up your local florist and seeing what’s available. I tend to just have simple bouquets of one type of flower, with a bit of greenery – so pink peonies with eucalyptus, or white roses with leatherleaf.
I’m also partial to a hydrangea stem – they just so beautiful, but hard to find at my local florists. This beaut sitting on my bedside table didn’t last long, but the time we spent together was very sweet.

Are you a fan of fresh flowers?
