Wardrobe Wishing For Spring.

I said a couple of weeks ago that I was working on creating a wardrobe of pieces I would get a lot of use out of, long-time pieces I absolutely love rather than one-time trends. With the new season arriving, I needed a wardrobe refresh… but a wardrobe full of pretty dresses and tops that I’d still love next year!

I started with dresses, because I am seriously lacking in the dress department – I feel dresses are always the items that are hard to pick for a sort-of capsule wardrobe. Skirts and tops you can mix and match, but dresses you need to work at.
I usually stick to block colours as a safe option, but I’ve managed to pick a few printed options – nothing too bold, and I’ve chosen dresses that fit me and flatter me so I know I’ll hang on to them.

I’ve also added in a few bardot tops, as I’m all about the bardot trend at the moment – it took me a while, but I’m ready to embrace it. Polka dots and bardot tops are kinda my thing for the summery seasons.

You’ll notice in my roundup below (and my wardrobe above!), that I’m going for a lot of red tones at the moment. I’ve never, ever been a fan of red but it seems to be working for me right now – sometimes, a change is all you need to feel revived.

I’m trying to come out of my comfort zone a little for summer – I wore midi skirts and jumpers all through winter, so I’m ready to embrace a few new trends for the upcoming months.
My wardrobe is already full of lots of the items below – and I’ve done a smaller edit of my absolute favourites above if you’re keen for a quick edit!

Will you be adding any of these to your wardrobe?
