Lazy Sunday Morning.

I’ve been meaning to do a post about this incredible scent for a while now (spurned on by so many requests!) but I felt I just had to wait for a Sunday morning to post it! Sorry, not sorry.

I think the fragrance has almost a cult status; I heard so much about this dreamy concoction before I tried it! The description ‘soft skin and bed linen’ is everything – everyone knows there’s no better scent than fresh bedding. It’s heaven bottled, I tell you.

The creates scents that from different periods and places. Each of the bottles has a brief description on the label detailing where the scent comes from, and the what it is inspired by. Lazy Sunday Morning takes inspiration from Florence, in the early 00’s – it’s softly romantic and truly delicious.

The scent itself is feminine but not young; there’s a musky, powdery note that plays down the floral notes, while the lily of the valley and patchouli hints give that fresh, clean feel.
I like to layer it on in the morning as I get dressed, and allow the familiar notes to warm and develop with my skin, forming something familiar and pure.

The brand describe the scent as being quite heavy, and I guess it is very fragrant and bold, but it also feels quite dainty on the skin – I never think it’s overbearing. It’s softly sophisticated and lovely day or night.

I’d say this is similar to the scents I usually wear – if you like Marc Jacobs Daisy or Jo Malone Sea Salt & Sage, you’re bound to love the heavy yet comforting notes of Lazy Sunday Morning!

A definite winner from Replica – has anyone else tried anything from the line?
