Spiced Caramel Apple Martinis.

Our latest creative concoction…

Christmas is always cocktail time for us, Jord and I love experimenting with the contents of our bar cart and I really think our latest creation is our best yet! I absolutely love it.
We’re usually just weekend drinkers, waiting for Friday night to come so we can crack out a bottle of wine with dinner, or a cocktail as we settle down to watch weekend TV. But come December we’re a little more loose with the Mon-Thurs rule, and out come the midweek boozies. What we like, eh?

I actually wanted a winter warmer cocktail when we were in the process of making this one, but I preferred it as a chilled martini style tipple so I’ll need to play around with a warm version next time.

I hope you love this drink as much as we do, I’m going to be counting down the hours until it’s time to crack open the gin! December is a wild one, isn’t it?!

To Make Two Spiced Apple Martinis

You Will Need:

50ml gin
50ml salted caramel gin liqueur (we have this one and it’s delish!)
200ml apple juice
squeeze of lemon juice

Method:
Shake the above ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and strain in to two glasses. Garnish with a stick of cinnamon. The cinnamon will infuse in to the drink as you sip resulting in a delicious hint of spice!

’tis the season…

There really isn’t much more I love than settling down in front of a film, or in this case snuggled up with my book, with a cocktail in hand throughout December! I really feel like this year has made me want to embrace the festivities even more than ever – since we can’t go anywhere we may as well build blanket forts and experiment with cocktail creations and eat our weight in Christmas chocolate for the coming weeks!

I hope everyone is having a snuggly December, and this post inspires you to spend an evening with Netflix and a delicious tipple.
Which cocktail should I experiment with next?!
