My staple scents…
I’ve always had a bit of a thing for fragrances, especially woody and floral scents that softly linger on my skin and clothes. Admittedly, I’m pretty picky about which scents I wear because I feel like a lot of fragrances just don’t work on me, but when I do find perfumes that I love they tend to become staples that I repurchase and rewear year after year, season after season.
I’ve got to the stage now where I’ve found myself with a few good fragrances I’m reaching for on a daily basis and still spark joy for me. I wear perfume religiously and enjoy being able to switch from one to another depending on the occasion, on my mood or the season – I even layer up a couple at a time to create something unique to me.
An ideal fragrance for me is one which can transform from evening to night seamlessly, which is easy on the senses and not too overbearing, so if you share my same love of fragrances you’re going to love this lot…

Marc Jacobs Daisy EDT
I’ve been wearing this fresh and floral classic since I was a teen and to this day it’s still on regular rotation for me. There is definitely a lot of nostalgia with this fragrance, and whilst it might not have the staying-power that some others have, I really enjoy a good schoosh every few hours for a breath of fresh air and a floral throwback.
Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne
Jo Malone fragrances never fail to deliver for me, and Wood Sage & Sea Salt is one I’ve been wearing regularly since it launched 4 or 5 years ago. I love this alone (think woody waves and ocean mist) or layered up with literally any other perfume – it really adds a softer, saltier layer to my usual scents. I can’t even describe how wonderful this scent is – it’s just enchanting!
Oh, and my incredible bottle may have caught your eye – I have one of the Karen Elson & Duffy Birthstone caps in my starsign Sagittarius. It was gifted to me by my lovely Jo Malone family and I am completely head over heels with it! Aren’t I a lucky girl?!

Diptyque Eau Rose Eau de Toilette
Diptyque and rose scents go hand in hand, they capture those musky, floral notes so, so well – as hand cream, candles and fragrances.
In the past I’ve been almost sceptical of rose, mainly because some can be powdery and overly-synthetic. However, Diptyque have concocted the dreamiest blend with a minimal, modern take on rose. I first tried the brands Eau Rose Hair Mist and just knew I had to have the perfume too – it’s softly feminine and so addictive!
Clean Reserve – Terra Woods Eau De Parfum
The name definitely speaks for itself with this one, its a unique, soft and subtle fragrance with woody notes. I always get asked what I’m wearing when I’ve got this one on and it has such an interesting scent with warm vanilla and tonka bean. I’d say it is slightly more masculine than some of the others, so it really just depends what mood I’m in or the occasion.
Not only are all of these absolutely delicious, they’re packed in pretty bottles too! What can I say, I have good taste…
