Let’s talk summer style…
Excitement is most certainly building in the Spiers household as it’s almost summer holiday time for us! A European beach getaway is a must for us pasty Scottish folk, it’s basically all we have to live for summer-wise.
This year we’re heading to Ibiza for some sun, sea and cocktails and I’m so ready for a few days of seaside fun. Also, I can finally put my summer beauty products to good use!
I haven’t really got started on the packing part, but I did find this beautiful Monki striped midi which I can just imagine would look perfect with a cute white bardot top and a basket bag. I love an effortless midi, they’re such an essential wardrobe piece for every season!
I also bought this adorable lemon printed beach skirt, which is going to look very cute with some sort of white lace top. I want to go for bike rides and swim in the sea and drink wine in the afternoons, and this skirt seems like the perfect versatile piece for busy days swimming and lunching.
The accessories…
I’ll definitely be packing a pair of gold hoops (I’ve been wearing these Rock’N’Rose ones everyday lately!), and I also recently got this adorable basket bag (similar here) which is a great size for holiday. It’ll hold suncream, a towel and a bottle of secco perfectly I reckon.
I also found these very vibrant yellow mules, I’m really feeling this cheerful hue at the moment. I have so many outfits that are made a million times better with a happy pop of yellow.

On to beauty…
Does anyone else get more excited by packing beauty products that they do anything else? I feel like I can have a whole new routine when I’m away – hair oils and body lotions and suncreams I wouldn’t really require at home.
I got the Ouai Sun Of A Beach Ombre Spray recently and I’m really tempted to try it. I have balayage in my hair anyway, but I think a bit of a sunkissed top-up might freshen it up a little.
I’m really intrigued by this product so I might give a little follow up if I feel it’s made a difference. Hopefully I won’t end up with straw hair…
Another new addition is the Shiseido Clear Stick UV Protector, a handy little on-the-go product for quick suncream application. This is meant to be perfect for sweeping on over makeup when you’re on the move, after swimming and exercise. It sounds like the product I’ve been desperately seeking for all my adult life!
A hair mask is an absolute must for a beach getaway, so I think I’ll pack this Coco & Eve Coconut & Fig Hair Masque. I love this as it really makes a difference to my hair, it feels swishy, soft and silky after every use.
And keeping with the coconut mask theme, the Origins x Madeleine Shaw Glow-Conuts Face Mask is one of the first picks I put aside for holiday packing! I adore this, it smells incredible and always works its magic on my skin.
Of course, what’s a holiday with Bronze Goddess? I’m packing the Shimmering Oil Spray, which is an all-over slightly shimmery spritz that goes perfectly with a tan! I love this on legs for the perfect glow (and obvs it smells delicious too!).
I decided to go for the Diptyque L’Ombre Dans L’Eau as my scent, I love remembering a trip every time I wear the perfume I packed with me so I try and always pack something unique for every getaway. This floral number is something I never get sick of!
