I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m a true homebody at heart! I feel such a sense of calm when I know I can spend a day doing absolutely nothing.
Sundays are my day to do exactly that, and I’m so used to wasting the day that I barely even feel guilty about it anymore… heh.
Jordan and I try to spend weekend mornings together, lazing on the sofa with freshly brewed coffee and episodes of Friends on repeat (it really doesn’t get old, does it?)
I recently surprised him with a few new home bits from, a homeware brand exclusively at Tesco that offers a collection of luxe home additions that allow you to inject a little opulence without the crazy price tag!
As soon as I saw , I thought of him! We’re usually pretty hurried people during the week, but on the weekends we can spare an hour or so to actually enjoy big cups of hot coffee together… the dream!
I made sure to get up first so I could set up a surprise spread for him, and he was very impressed with his new addition (and my thoughtfulness). It goes perfectly in our home, too – I’m all about subtle hints of gold, as you’ll no doubt know.
I also upgraded our current cutlery with this eye-catching ; our previous knives and forks were looking a little past their best and I love how effortlessly chic matte gold utensils look!
He actually noticed the new cutlery first, so I think I did well… #wifegoals.
Of course, I did have to make a sly purchase for myself. These adorable are exactly what I’ve been looking for to keep my bedside table tidy. I spend a lot of time chilling on my bed with a book or my laptop so it’s nice to have a lovely space to sit in and relax.
I use them to store my favourite lip balm, hand cream and a little piece of citrine which is supposed to bring positivity and optimism… but also it just looks pretty on my bedside!
