Beauty Daily Makeup Makeup Routines

My Everyday Makeup Heroes.

makeupheroes3

I’ve had more than a few questions on my daily makeup routine lately *head doubles in size*, so I thought I’d do a little rundown on my everyday favourites. I’m a bit of creature of habit, so once I’m happy with my routine, I usually keep it as it is until I need to restock!

Glossier Priming Moisturiser; I really had my reservations about Glossier, because I’m always quite cynical when it comes to super hyped products… but wow, I’m eating my words (is that the expression??) right now. Their products are nothing short of exceptional.
This moisturiser really grew on me, I thought it was way too light for my parched skin when I first used it, but it’s actually quite customisable in terms of hydration. If you only need a quick slick of moisturiser, you’re good to go. Need a little extra quenchiness? LAYER IT UP.
Honestly you guys, you need Glossier in your life. I’m obsessed.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow; Another brand that I simply cannot fault is Charlotte T. This Wonderglow illuminating primer is an absolute everyday staple for me, it’s just supermodel skin in a tube.
I sweep it all over as a quick step between moisturiser and foundation, and it always preps my skin and ensures any imperfections are blurred. A wonder product for an even, glowing complexion.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation: I recently discovered an old bottle of Sheer Glow in my dressing table and gave it a whirl. I was AMAZED, my skin looked… unreal. I actually think this is my absolute favourite foundation at the moment, it’s so dewy and perfecting. Ugh, I adore it.
I find the coverage amazing – I have bad dark scars from acne on my cheeks and chin and this conceals all, whilst also giving my skin the freshest finish ever. Love.

Origins GinZing Eye Cream; This is a recent addition for me, and a product I’d always heard so much about! The GinZing tinted moisturiser/VitaZings base is still one of my favourite products, so of course I was always going to love the eye cream version!
This brightens, plumps and nourishes the delicate eye area, acting like skincare and makeup in one. It makes a big difference to eyes, giving them that freshly awakened look in one quick application. Love!

Thank You Farmer Water Sun Cream; Another new addition for me is this SPF, something I spied on the Cult Beauty New In section and had to have!
This has raised the bar for SPFs, it’s a protecting moisturiser that hydrates and gives skin a dewy finish (with none of that suncream slicky-ness) whilst also encouraging cell turnover – meaning skin always looks its best. It’s a new kind of suncream, and one I can definitely get behind!

By Terry Sun Designer Palette; This palette! I mean… just look at it. It’s incredible, the perfect pairing of shades to create the most flawless glow.
I have both shades of the Sun Designer palette and I can’t recommend them enough. The warm, bronze-y tones are perfect for anyone who loves that perky summer glow, and I love the way the blend together seamlessly to create such an even flush. Perfect for sweeping on to cheeks for an instant holiday hit.

Hourglass Ambient Light Bronzer; Similarly, I usually up the bronze a little with this Hourglass number. This is so light and blendable on the skin, so I find it’s almost impossible to go wrong with – meaning the result is only bronzed beauty and never muddy mess!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara; I rarely see the point in using high end mascaras when there’s just so many budget alternatives available. I’m currently crushing on this Maybelline wonder – it’s a dream come true for anyone who loves lengthened, curled lashes.
The brush means you can get right in there and grab every hair, and the formula doesn’t seem to smudge either – always a plus if you ask me!

Never tried any of these, but I’m super curious how the NARS foundation would look on my oily skin!

I’ve been so obsessed with Glossier recently. I picked up their phase 1 set and already used the priming moisturizer. I love it! The balm Dotcom is also amazing.

  • I love NARS Sheer Glow but always forget I have it in my stash (I have a few foundations in my collection, haha). I really need to dig it out though as it provides such a nice finish! It’s not too glowy, but not too matte either.

Love this post! I havenΒ΄t tried out any of the products, but the origins eye cream sounds amazing.
And I would love to try out some Glossier products, but they are so hard to get hold of here in Europe.

  • I’ve heard so many good things about the CT Wonderglow, and it’s nice to read another of someone who genuinely uses this everyday (or at least most days!).

I’m always interested to read other people’s daily makeup picks, because, well, most makeup suggestions & tutorials are just so… FULL ON. “No, I don’t want to spend 20 minutes everyday putting dark stuff on my round face to pretend my face isn’t round, thanks.”

I’m only ever after products that are easy to apply, make you look “Alive’ and that work. Full stop. This is a great roundup. Want to try so many on this list!

  • You always nail skincare/beauty without looking too “done.” Like, yes, I totally respect the “brows on fleek” girls who spend an hour on their eyebrows alone. If that’s your thing, go for it!

But it isn’t ME. You’ve achieved that rare balance between “goals AF” and “relatable.”

BUT OMG, that blush pink top. WHERE IS IT FROM? I NEED IT NOW.

  • Cannot wait for glossier to come out in the UK soon so it is easier for us Germans to get our hands on the brand yaaaaas πŸ™‚

  • I’ve never purchased a subscription box before, but my resolution for once I’m settled into my new flat is to get the Birchbox one!

  • Your skin is looking amazing Kate, and your base really adds that glow!
