I’ve been stuck in one serious rut when it comes to my hair; I just can’t get it looking soft and shiny at all – instead it looks a little bit lank and, more often than not, super dry and dull. Not great when you’re all about the Blake Lively locks!
So of course, I’ve had to rethink my routine to find a fix. My hair is on the fine side, but with dry ends… not a great combination, I feel like I’m having to mix and match my products a lot. It’s not easy, but this lineup is definitely helping.
; I love Davines as a brand, so I thought I’d try out the Melu range. It’s aimed at long, dry hair, which isn’t really me… but I loved the description and thought it sounded lovely and lightweight for my difficult hair.
So far I think I’m on to a winner, I’ve been reverse washing with these because the conditioner is quite rich and I need to wash my hair daily. The duo has helped to restore the shine in my locks, and I’m feeling a whole happier with my hair. We’re off to a good start!
; I’ve wanted to try this since my hairdresser used it on my hair a while ago, and I’m already a big fan of its multi-purpose properties!
It’s a bit of a ‘do it all’ product, as it detangles, softens, adds volume and defrizzes… did you get all of that?!
My hair tangles so quickly, but this means I can get a brush through it without damaging my hair, and it’s helping a lot with the reverse washing too.
I love the scent and the way it leaves my hair feeling extra swishy! A daily staple, without a doubt.
Maria Nila Salty Mist; If you ever get the chance to try Maria Nila haircare, you absolutely must! The brand have completely wowed me since first use, and the Salty Mist is one of my favourite finds.
It’s a light, texturising spritz designed to be used on damp hair. I love undone waves, so applying this before I dry and curl my hair always helps me achieve effortless tousles.
; This is the last step in my routine, a lovely soft cream that I use to separate curls and create more of a relaxed look to waves. I love the way this softens and adds shine, with a bit of grit too. You only need the smallest amount, but it really gives a gorgeous lived in look. I rub a pea-sized amount in my palms before smoothing and scrunching through – too easy!
Have you tried any of these? Let me know if you have any recommendations for too-fine, dull hair!
