Fragrance Favourites For Spring.

I managed to really streamline my fragrance collection a couple of months back, although I’ve since noticed that it’s slowly been expanding again! Declutter round two coming right up!
I’ve got a small collection of daily fragrances that I can’t get enough of, now the seasons are changing and my winter favourites just aren’t cutting it anymore.

Byredo Unnamed Eau De Parfum; Swedish brand Byredo entered my life early last year, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m terribly picky when it comes to fragrances, but every release from Byredo seems to speak to me. My latest love is the unnamed fragrance, a unisex blend of pink pepper, gin and evergreen that translates as a luxe musky floral. It’s such a sexy, slightly peppery combination that seems to soften on my skin as the day wears on.
As for the name, you actually get letters to name the scent yourself but I’ve never come up with anything!

Diptyque L’Ombre Dans L’Eau; This find fast became a favourite of mine, it was love at first spritz! I’m a huge Diptyque fan, so I guess it was a given I would obsess over such a fresh, floral concoction.
This is quite a sophisticated floral scent I think, there’s something about it that seems quite grown up… anyway, it’s delicious. Think blackcurrants, freshly cut grass, rose petals, the scent of spring bottled up. Give it a sniff when you’re next in store!

Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis; I know that I’m taunting you with this, as Wild Fig & Cassis was (devastatingly!) discontinued by the brand… but it’ll always be a favourite of mine.
I’ve become hooked on this lately, I think because I always wear it at this time of year so it’s like a little hit of nostalgia. Fig scents are just exquisite, aren’t they?

Escentric Molecules Molecule 03; I wasn’t a huge fan of the original Molecule 01 scent, but I was gifted 03 and was instantly drawn to the musky notes of vetiver – I adore vetiver, it just smells so gorgeous and interesting to me!
This is quite sharp at first, but I find it does settle down in to more of a floral scent. If you love vetiver, this is the one for you! It’s nice layered with sweeter scents too.

Quite the lineup of spring picks! Have you tried any of these?

  • Gorgeous photos! I love the Molecule fragrances! x

Hi Kate, what about Diptyque’s Philosykos, isn’t that similar to the Jo Malone fig scent? Been obsessed with that one lately! 🙂

    • Ohh, you know I tested that and didn’t think it was for me… maybe I should actually spritz it on my skin next time! Will get back to you, thank you x

  • Hmm, the Byredo unnamed Eau de Parfum sounds really mysterious, in fact the whole brand is to me, I need to check out their offer. The Jo Malone Wild Fig and Casis sounds right up my street, it’s such a shame that it had been discontinued!

I absolutely love diptyque esp their Olene scent which is a heavenly Jasmine. The Jo Malone Wild fig is very tempting though!

  • Diptyque L’ombre dans L’eau is my favourite scent of all time! I am also incredibly fussy with fragrance (aka I’m a perfume snob with expensive taste, lol) but I feel like you can’t go wrong with Diptyque, Jo Malone or Byredo!

Also now I really feel I need to check out that home tour video! My favourite spring scent is Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. A little citrusy and a little green and a little powdery all at once! xx great post, love from Athens Greece!
