Hand Cream Heroes.

Just a couple of months ago, I was struggling so badly with chapped hands and hangnails – my paws were a mess! I made a pact with myself to look after them better, and so here we are. Happy hands, lovely nails.

I feel like applying hand cream is like drinking water, the more you do it, the more you need it! I honestly can’t go a whole day without applying hand cream, although I am a bit of a serial hand-washer and I also like the feeling of applying hand cream, so it seems like it’s entirely my fault!

Here’s the hand creams I have on rotation right now…

; This tube sits on my bedside table and it seems to be my go-to most of them time. I always, always apply hand cream before bed, so I’m getting through this tube pretty rapidly. I don’t love the scent of this, it’s quite powdery and floral, but the tube is huge and it’s easy to reach for when I need it. Plus, I feel like I can ignore the smell as the cream is lovely and hydrating without being overly thick or tacky.
It’s made a big difference to my hands, so I can get over the musky fragrance.

; Ah Aesop, a long-time love of mine! I think everyone who has tried this will know that it’s such a beautiful formulation – light yet moisturising, with a fresh, lively scent that smells clean and reviving.
I actually have this in the big 500ml bottle too – I just adore it that much! I could probably slather myself in it if I felt the need… but luckily, I haven’t thus far.
I keep this tube on my coffee table for regular applications in the evenings, it’s just delicious! My hands adore it.

; This Lanolips Rose Hand Cream sits on my desk – see, I really am a hand cream obsessive – and I try to slip on a little throughout the day. I’m quite a fan of lanolin, but I find the texture of this stuff hideous, I don’t know why I keep using it! It feels odd going on, doesn’t really sink in and feels incredibly tacky. Once I apply it, I have to sort of rub it off and only then do my hands feel super soft… it’s a bit of a strange one!

; The By Terry Baume De Rose collection is a favourite with most, and the latest addition is a softly-scented hand cream that feels incredibly luxe. This has a clay-like texture that sinks in instantly and leaves hands feeling gloriously nourished and instantly supple, all without the tacky feeling. I love the delicate scent and the way this leaves my hands.

; I’m almost finished my tube of this Jo Malone wonder, and I can tell I’ll be looking to replenish my supply. Of course, this smells incredible and has a beautiful formulation that makes application a dream, I usually pop this on as part of my evening ritual as I watch TV in the evenings, it makes such a big difference to my hands!

I told you I knew my hand creams, and I have a pretty solid selection going on right now. Have you tried any of these?
