Sigh, candles. They are literally like burning money, but I can’t help but splurge when it comes to beautiful home fragrance! I’ve got a few favourites on the go right now – despite making myself a promise that I wouldn’t burn a new one until I’ve finished up some of the older ones! – so I thought I’d introduce them here…
This was my first candle splurge, I still remember standing in Space NK trying to work up the courage to pay £40 for a candle! I’m on to my second jar now (I know, I’m naughty) and I’m still in love with the sexy, masculine scent. Vetyver (yep, I can read those wonky letters) is the best Diptyque fragrance in my opinion, I even have the perfume to match! It’s just perfect all year round, and it’s strong in a ‘well worth the money’ kinda way. You can even smell it when it’s not lit!
I’ve recently come to realise that the White Company candles are some of the best – they’re affordable, smell incredible and really throw the scent. I’ve had three or four now and they last so well, always leaving the space smelling delicious, whilst also burning well and making the room seem so cosy!
Lime and Bay is a new release, and it’s gorgeous – fresh, a little woody… it smells like the sea, if you ask me!
This was a birthday gift from my lovely friend Hollie, and another fragrance I can’t get enough of. This sat in the box for a few weeks before it all got too much and I just had to light it! This is very inviting, quite a floral scent but not too sweet or overpowering. There’s hints of orange and amber, so it’s a lovely candle to have burning at this time of year!
Now this. This is candle you’re going to want to sniff. Jordan wears the Jazz Club fragrance, which I absolutely adore, so I always knew I’d go crazy for the candle. It’s another woody one, packed with vetiver (I see a theme here), vanilla and tobacco. It’s just so sensual and gorgeous – possibly my favourite of the bunch!
I’m going to say it… I often find Diptyque candles a little wishy-washy, there’s a few that just don’t seem to really have a fragrance. Vetyver above and Cypres are my two favourites, as they’re both so scented and beautiful. I find Cypres is a lovely welcoming scent that breathes life in to the home – it’s quite a fresh, lively scent that reminds me of Christmas but works for all year round.
Who else is a candle fan?
