Hello May…
Last month went so quick I don’t think I actually registered it. Maybe I checked out for a bit…
May is such a promising month, so close to summer and so much to look forward to! Let me give you a bit of a rundown on what’s to come for me over the next few weeks.
01. WELL. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my calendar as full as I have this month, it’s ALL going down! I have trips, work projects, a best friend’s 30th birthday, a wedding (on the same day as the ROYAL WEDDING)… it’s going to be one hell of a month! I need a nap just thinking out it.
I’m usually such a homebody but I can’t say no to a bit of balance, as long as there’s some downtime in-between. This granny needs her home comforts.
02. I did mention last month that I was hosting a very exciting event with one of my favourite brands in Glasgow, and I finally have some details for you! Local girls (and boys), you may want to keep the 22nd May free as I’m holding an in-store event with my long-time faves Jo Malone at the boutique in Princes Square, Glasgow!
It’ll run from 6-8pm, and there’s a £25 booking fee which will be redeemable on anything in store… and we’ll also have bubbles, canapes and Jo Malone London goody bags for you to take home! I’m chatting to the brand’s Fragrance & Lifestyle Expert Emma South on scenting your home, as well as my favourite scents and whatever else you want to know!

03. So since I’m going to be away a lot this month, I wanted to ask you what you’d like to see from me in terms of posts and videos! I am hoping to do a little vlog from each trip, and probably Instagram photos and stories too. Is that all good with you? I never really get enough photo content and vlog content to do a video AND a blog post, but I feel like Instagram covers the travel snaps. Let me know!
04. It’s our first wedding anniversary a month today, if you’ll believe that. I really, truly cannot come to terms with it (it honestly feels like yesterday!), but that’s neither here nor there. What I’m really thinking about is a GIFT. It’s paper for your first year, and at this rate he’ll be getting a blank card… it’s so tough! I’ve been making a wedding photo book so I guess that kind of covers it, but it’s not really a surprise and it’s kind of more for me anyway. I was thinking maybe a ticket, maybe to a weekend away or a gig… Is that romantic enough? Who knows, you guys.
