I recently said I had (almost unintentionally) stripped back my makeup and opted instead for more of a natural everyday look – or at least my version of it where I apply a lot of products to make it look like I’m wearing very little makeup at all.
While I’m still all about the glowy skin, minimal eye, low effort look, I just can’t shake off my love for a berry lip!
In all honesty, I’m not the best at lipstick – I need it to be perfect and so that sort of rules out traditional lipstick because there’s no way in hell I’m about to whip out lipliner on the regular.
Instead, I’ve been opting for a few go-to products that make light work of the old bold lip look!
Here are some of my fave shades…
Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets; I (probably) wouldn’t even be exaggerating if I said these may be my favourite lip products of all time. The creamy, colour-drenched formula combined with the most perfectly shaped brush means they’re effortlessly easy to apply for a full-on lip look. What’s more, every single shade in the line seems to have been made with me in mind – they’re all so incredibly flattering.
My favourites are probably 505 and 600 (pictured here) but I also love the punchy pinks like 503! Okay, they’re all beaut…
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips; It wouldn’t be a KLV beauty post without a bit of Charlotte T! These Hollywood Lips are vibrant matte creams that glide on to lips and stay put for hours and hours of wear. I have quite dry lips (thanks, Roaccutane), but these are some of the best for feeling very lightweight and never drying once on, I can actually get away with wearing them for hours without topping up which is always ideal.
My favourite shades are Dangerous Liaison (which is the shade I’m wearing in the picture) and the more everyday pink hues of Dolly Bird and Too Bad I’m Bad.
I’m a little lazy with lipstick application, but liquid lipsticks are the most effortless way to achieve a bold lip! Just sweep on and you’re good to go…
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick; I’ve been a long time fan of these Stila Liquid Lipsticks, thanks to their anyone-can-do-it ease of application and awesome shade range. I love Bacca, the ultimate berry that makes blue eyes pop and updates any outfit in a flash! A must have if you’re in to bold lips.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain; Another lip product I’ll probably always have in my stash is the Sephora Cream Lip Stains – the shade 01 is the most perfect red to ever exist!
When it comes to autumn lip picks, however, I always reach for no. 14 – the classic deep berry that seems to suit all. I’m obsessed with this shade, it glides on perfectly for the most mesmerising lip look. I love!
