I think if I was left to my own devices, I’d happily blow all my money on candles. One trip to Anthropologie has me weak at the knees, and my obsession with all things Diptyque has seen every surface in our living room covered in pretty jars!
Now the evenings are darker and colder, my candle obsession has almost taken over. There’s naked flames everywhere! I have at least one candle burning in the evening as I huddle under a blanket to watch some top British TV (Doctor Foster though!! Gripping stuff.)
I think Jo Malone is the best place to start if you’re after more of a luxe candle. These are some of my favourites because the scent really throws and they burn so evenly. I’ve never had an issue with these tunnelling, and I love the glass jars too – they make the perfect makeup brush pots once cleaned out.
I adore as an all year round pick, or my current obsession from the new collection is perfect for autumn. is a dream to burn on chilly evenings!
I seem to have a couple of Diptyque candles on rotation, I’m really never without one! I love the woody, romantic scents so I tend to stick to but I also adore , Oud and . You really can’t go wrong with any of their fragrances if you ask me, and I always, always find a way to reuse the jars!
For a more affordable find, I tend to stick to high street stores – is great (especially their ), and I think Anthropologie have some of the best candles on offer. Their come in so many scents and burn deliciously.
I’m also loving in stores now, I picked up the perfect pink and yellow floral jar that is filled with a beautiful lemon-scented wax. This sits on my bedside table and it never fails to pick me up.
A lovely way to add a bit of atmosphere to a room! Are you a candle fan?
