Candles For Cosy Evenings.

I think if I was left to my own devices, I’d happily blow all my money on candles. One trip to Anthropologie has me weak at the knees, and my obsession with all things Diptyque has seen every surface in our living room covered in pretty jars!

Now the evenings are darker and colder, my candle obsession has almost taken over. There’s naked flames everywhere! I have at least one candle burning in the evening as I huddle under a blanket to watch some top British TV (Doctor Foster though!! Gripping stuff.)

I think Jo Malone is the best place to start if you’re after more of a luxe candle. These are some of my favourites because the scent really throws and they burn so evenly. I’ve never had an issue with these tunnelling, and I love the glass jars too – they make the perfect makeup brush pots once cleaned out.
I adore Lime Basil & Mandarin as an all year round pick, or my current obsession from the new collection is perfect for autumn. English Oak & Redcurrant is a dream to burn on chilly evenings!

I seem to have a couple of Diptyque candles on rotation, I’m really never without one! I love the woody, romantic scents so I tend to stick to my favourite Vetyver but I also adore Baies, Oud and Cypres. You really can’t go wrong with any of their fragrances if you ask me, and I always, always find a way to reuse the jars!

For a more affordable find, I tend to stick to high street stores – The White Company is great (especially their Pomegranate pick), and I think Anthropologie have some of the best candles on offer. Their basic Boulangerie candles come in so many scents and burn deliciously.
I’m also loving the Liberty collaboration in stores now, I picked up the perfect pink and yellow floral jar that is filled with a beautiful lemon-scented wax. This sits on my bedside table and it never fails to pick me up.

A lovely way to add a bit of atmosphere to a room! Are you a candle fan?

  • £44 for a candle is insane haha!

  • Between this and your latest vlog, you are fuelling my candle addiction! I love Jo Malone and Diptyque too, and always find TK Maxx or Homesense have a good selection in. Never tried an anthropologie candle so that’s next on my list!

I love candles, especially in Autumn Winter.
I need to try Diptyque but cant bring myself to part with the money.
Chelsea Candle Company have some great smelling candles and are my go-to at the moment, and they start from £5 which I think is an absolute bargain.

Totally obsessed with candles over here as well! My favourites at the moment are my rewined candles and Pf candle co. Live Jo Malone Peonie and blush suede candle as well. For the perfect cosy vibe I love to add some 70s folk music on the record player, a good book and a lovely cup of tea 🙂

  • I really want to try a Jo Malone candle, they look so luxurious and sound amazing xx

I love the Anthropologie Boulangerie candles, I had the Pumpkin Soufflé one last Christmas and it was beautiful.

  • We LOVE candles too! We can’t even say how many we have bought from Anthropologie! We go weak every time we go in the store. Also love Jo Malone. The sweet almond macaron is a favorite of ours. Can’t wait to go smell the two new scents!

This post itself is cozy!! I typically use candles during the colder seasons just because I love how snug it makes me feel. My favorites are from Bath & Body Works during their 2 for $20 sale!

  • I love Diptyque candles, but I’ve been wanting a Jo Malone candle since they smell so nice. I love sweet candle scents, and they definitely make everything more relaxing.

I am a candle fan but I think the best are too expensive, in one of my Paris trips I bought some Dyptique candles, but I was not stunned by their scents. I like the Anthropology candles also.
