June Goals.

I could do a little squeal I’m so excited about June being here! Have I ever told you how much I LOVE the warmer months? I mean, I know it doesn’t really reach double digits when it comes to the temperature in Scotland, but light evenings, picnics, holidays, day drinking… so much to be happy about!

01. June is a very, very big month for me! Actually, for both Jordan and I – we’ve got a fun trip planned, a biiig celebration, two 30th birthday parties… one of which is Jordan’s!
I was in charge of planning a little somethin’ for him, but so far I’ve drawn a blank. I’ve got a few weeks to get something sorted (yep, last minute but we’ve had a lot going on lately!), so if anyone has any ideas…

02. Make good use of my time. I’ve really been leaving my comfort zone a lot lately and agreeing to trips and opportunities that I would usually turn down. I don’t love to be super busy and stressed out, I like an easy life… but sometimes you just want a little more, you know?
The next couple of months are set to be my busiest yet, and I find that when I’m away a lot, my work starts to slip. I need to find a good balance, so I feel organised and ahead of my tasks, but also relaxed and happy with my travel plans etc. Basically, no more procrastinating for me!

03. Set myself some goals. I feel like I’m at a good stage in my life, in that I’m settled and happy, but I don’t really have any goals as such.
I’m not really working towards anything, I’m kind of bumbling along doing my thing. I want to sit down and really think about what I want from the next few years – to continue as I am? Consider a move abroad? Release a book? Time to start planning!
If anyone has any tips on writing down and focusing on your goals, I’d be very grateful…

04. A digital detox. I noticed recently that I was spending from 8am – 6pm on my computer, and then from 7pm – 11pm on my phone, whilst watching TV. So. many. screens.
I’ll also pick up my phone out of habit, when I’ve just put it down, and I refresh my emails constantly even on Sundays. It’s not good and it’s leaving me feeling a bit foggy-headed.
I’m really going to try and get better at having a detox, putting my phone away in the evenings and living in the moment! I definitely need it.

  • June is going to be a pretty busy month for me too, but I could definitely benefit from the digital detox! I think breaking down big goals into smaller milestones always works better for me, otherwise I get too intimidated and give up…

  • This June is going to be pretty busy as I am writing my master-thesis and at the same time I’m applying for jobs…So I have two super huge goals at the moment! Leaving your comfort zone from time to time is a great goal I guess 🙂

  • how is it june already? i can’t believe it. having a digital detox is so good. i was in denmark last week and barely looked at my phone or laptop and it was so good. i’m way more motivated now.

  • Can’t wait to hear about your celebration! I’ve been trying to figure out how to celebrate mine later this year. A digital detox is a great idea! It’s hard when there are shows to watch and blog posts to catch up on. Getting outside seems like the easiest way to detox. For your goals, try breaking them down to what you want to accomplish three months from now, one year from now, three years from now, and lifetime. Then list all the steps and time them out. I’ve tried looking at other people’s bucket/goals lists for inspiration too. Speaking of, I want to make a summer to-do list ASAP!

    Sounds like a really exciting month! Just make sure to take care of yourself in the process and giving yourself some me-time/pampering!
    June will also be very busy – running a 5K marathon, a LOT of birthday celebrations, mother-in-law visiting, going away this weekend to the cottage…all fun stuff but busy indeed, especially when you have a full-time job, a blog, and workout 4-5 times per week!!

  • I love a Digital Detox. I just did one for a few days and I feel so refreshed. So you will love it. I need to sit down and plan my life a little too. Feeling a little lost right now. If you released a book, I can see a beautiful coffee table book with a blush pink cover. Heck, even if you published a book of just your instagram feed it would be a smash! I wrote about my Goals for June over on my blog. I just need to start being real with my feelings, purchase a few luxe beauty products for my wedding and get my huuur and nails done. So excited! I feel like I should leave the link, but that might be a bit rude.
