May Goals.

Oh May, you’re going to be a busy one! I feel like I’ve already spent 90% of the last few days on my computer or phone, and it doesn’t look like things will be easing up any time soon.
Nonetheless, I’ve set myself a few personal goals this month too – who needs sleep, am I right?

01. Perfect my capsule wardrobe. I’ve said a few times that I’ve been trying to buy key pieces instead of one-time-wear seasonal trends, and it’s been working out well for me.
I’ve definitely found my style a little more in the last year or so, and my wardrobe is looking better than ever. Maybe I’ll give you a nosy through it at some point…

02. Plan a big trip. Jordan and I have been talking about doing a big adventure this summer, maybe the West Coast of America – we’d love to see Seattle and Portland, and maybe even San Francisco. I’ve been to SF but Jordan hasn’t, and the whole time I just wished he was there to see it! We’ve never done anything like that, so it would be fun to see a few places at once.

03. Find a wedding dress! I’ve been so stuck on searching for the perfect dress – I never really thought about what I’d wear on my wedding day, and I feel like every dress is so formal or out there or just not me. All the boho dresses seem to be made of lace (which I’m in two minds about), or just a bit crazy with the plunging necklines.
Hopefully this is the month that I find the dress for me!

04. Do something with my hair! I feel like I’ve had the same style and colour for so long now, and I’m considering changing it up a little. Maybe lighter on the ends, with more of a shorter, blunter cut… or maybe darker and keep the length. Maybe I’ll decide when I’m in the chair!
A change of seasons usually means I do something different with my hair, so we’ll see.

What have you got planned for the month ahead?

  • May sounds like it’s going to be an exciting (and very busy) month for you. I’d love to see your wardrobe staples, adore your style. My goal is simply to get back online! I totally dropped the ball last month in terms of blogging and social media, need to get back into the blogging mindset again because I love it when I’m on the ball.

BHLDN dresses are rather dreamy.. I’d definitely go for one if I’d get married again! ? May seems busy indeed. Fingers crossed that you find the dress!

  • I really want to work on my freelancing career and have started it now but am realising that it is not as easy as it seems so for May, I will be navigating through that! I hope that you find your wedding dress! There is one out there that is just for you ๐Ÿ™‚

Ooh good luck finding the perfect dress! May is the month I move back to the UK and am a bridesmaid so it’s all very busy for me! xo

  • Doing someting with my hair is also on my list for May! I hope you find the perfect dress for your wedding, I guess this is not so easy.

  • I’d love to round up all my school work so I can focus on my blog and YouTube some more. I also really want to do some small decoration changes to my interior and focus on my wardrobe essentials and my personal style some more!

Enjoy the dress hunt, it’s probably a really special thing. I think boho dresses would look really nice on you, maybe more of a creamy white and something crochet-y. And bat wing sleeves ๐Ÿ™‚

We did a West Coast trip last summer and it was incredible. We started with a few days in New York then flew to Seattle then got the train down the coast to San Francisco stopping off at Portland for a few days on the way. I thought San Francisco would be my favourite but it was Seattle and Portland that I fell in love with.

Later in the year we are going to New Orleans and Austin then finishing with a week in Tulum so your post was perfectly timed!

  • I love reading your monthly goal, it always inspires me at least one thing to add to mine ๐Ÿ˜‰ have a lovely May dear! xo

  • I’d love to visit the West Coast too, it’s top of the bucket list and has been for so long. One day.

Ooh finding a wedding dress must be so exciting! I’m starting looking for mine in August with our wedding next Summer! xx

  • Sounds like some great goals! I too have been sorting through a capsule wardrobe for Spring/Summer, I used to buy so many clothes that just got worn once or was just an impulse buy. So I’m happy I now have a wardrobe with a few key pieces for each season to mix and match. Finding your perfect dress sounds so exciting!

You two must come to SF! I live about 40 minutes away and try to go as often as I can. There’s always something to do there and never gets boring. I love it so much.

  • I’m in the same position with my hair. I want to grow it out but it takes so long and I want to see a change quicker. Good luck with the wedding dress hunt!

Love your goals! A big trip is a little hard to do if you have a busy schedule but everything else is doable for sure <3

Hi! I follow your blog and love your posts! It took me something like 5 months to have courage to get my hair cut and it totally worth it! Now I’m lighter (15 inches less hair) and this month I’m going to SF, stay for 4 days and then i’ll drive the coast until I get to LA. I am so anxious!!!

  • Danielle

Some nice plans for the month ahead! I don’t think I could ever do a capsule wardrobe, I like too much of a variety! My plans for this months are to keep up with my running and finalise and book my trip to Disneyland Paris. Danielle || Miss Danielle

  • My main plan for this month is to work on my blog! I’ve not worked on it for so long!

    PoppyRKay // poppyrkay.blogspot.co.uk

  • Check out Grace Loves Lace. I wore one of their dresses and they’re so good ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Good luck with the wedding dress shopping!

  • Loving the plans for the month! I agree – getting the perfect dress must take forever! I was with my boyfriend’s sister when she was dress shopping, and it’s a pretty lengthy process! Definitely hope you can find the perfect one early on ๐Ÿ™‚ And a trip to the West Coast sounds great! LA is really warm right now, so if you want a taste of summer, definitely come visit!

    XO, Elizabeth

  • oh i wish i was capable of having a capsule wardrobe but i’m just a hoarder. a good clearout needs to happen anyway.

  • Oh I love the monthly plans! I have some myself and that includes always some tidying up at home and outdoors activities since the weather is getting warmer!

  • Riley Stewart

I’ve done the West coast trip three times now and it is honestly the best. If you go down the coast from SF also make sure you go to Yosemite and Big Sur. Seattle is also amazing and I’m sure you both would love it. I’m going to Vancouver in June and I am beyond excited to go to the PNW again.
I couldn’t recommend the trip more!

  • Lovely plans ahead. Cannot wait to see it all =)

  • Would love to see a post on your capsule wardrobe, I’d love to give it a go myself – good luck with all your plans Kate!

  • I’m travelling this month to all of those places you listed, actually ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m heading to the Book Expo in New York at the end of the month, but also seeing San Fran, Seattle, and Portland. I can’t wait! I hope you get to plan and be there soon, too.

  • Sounds like a lovely plan for the month ahead! I’m trying to plan new content for my blog and make more time to relax and give myself a bit of TLC – a Diptyque candle is on the wishlist… ๐Ÿ™‚ Any recommendations?

  • Sounds like some sensible goals to me! I got married this time a year ago and loved choosing my dress though it is such a big decision and not the easiest one to make. Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚ x
