Well this is a ruddy exciting post to write! Of course, it’s not exactly breaking news as Jordan and I got engaged at the end of December, but all the joy is still there a few months later!

It had been in the back of my mind for a while that very few pictures of Jordan and I exist – there’s selfies and photos on nights out and a few decent travel snaps, but nothing we would frame or put in an album.
I threw around the idea of an engagement shoot and Jordan was onboard, and so the planning commenced.

I actually had Phil, an incredible Portland-based photographer, in mind for our wedding photos, but just by chance I saw he was going to be in Glasgow just a few weeks after I looked at his blog, and it all seemed to fall in to place. Engagement photos were go!
He suggested we head up towards Glencoe, which was entirely perfect because it’s exactly the kind of location we had in mind. Rugged, breathtaking, surreal… we were stopping the car every few minutes to get out and shoot!

I always thought Jordan and I would be awkward turtles having someone photograph us, but Phil was so incredibly calm and easy to be around. It really was such a chilled, effortless day with lots of laughs.
On the day, the weather was unbelievable – misty rain clouds over the mountain peaks, patches of golden sun leaking through the clouds and pops of dreamy blue sky every now and again. I was heart-eyed all day.

I somehow managed to narrow down the final edits Phil sent over down from 200 to around 35 for this post, but honestly I could have included them all. They have exceeded even my wildest dreams!
My favourite thing about the photos is how Phil has managed to capture us – this is exactly how I picture we look to others!
Me with my goofy laugh, Jordan cracking silly jokes only I can hear, forehead kisses and him fixing my hair… ahhhhh.

If you’re considering booking an engagement shoot, or booking Phil for a shoot or even booking Phil for an engagement shoot, you absolutely must! What a day, and photos we’ll treasure forever.
