Growing up, I was definitely more of a tomboy (the only girl amongst three boys, it kind of figures) so to finally embrace pink at the ripe old age of twenty five is a bit of a surprise!
Right now, our home has this muted shade of pink in almost every room; I’m obsessed with blush tones, especially when paired with brass. They’re something so romantic and Parisian about the combo, and I’m basically having to stop myself going overboard on the colour scheme.

Having touches of blush really warms the area, so if you have a lot of white walls (which I definitely do), it’s a nice pairing for a more cosy space.
Of course, brass and gold detailing is so timeless so I usually choose brass over other metals because I know the chances of it looking dated are slim! I’m a fickle being.
Most of the time, I’ve gone for small details when it comes to adding pops of pink – such as cushions and throws, or boxes on my dressing table. It’s a great way to liven up a shared space, especially if your other half isn’t so keen on the feminine additions (although mine couldn’t care less, luckily!).
As for gold touches, I love the West Elm decorative objects placed around my home. The ‘hello’ sign leaning against my Marshall Acton speaker looks so cute, and almost festive at this time of the year – although that’s probably my White Company candle burning away!
I think I’ve got a good thing going with these subtle hints of colour; antique gold mirrors and fluffy sheepskin rugs complete the look in any room – making the cosiest space ever!
