Making The Most Of Your Mornings.

I love, love, love getting up early – it’s the best time of the day! It’s so peaceful, with the hours rolled out ahead of you, my inbox isn’t pinging with activity and I can sit and enjoy the little things without a hint of guilt…

I always make the most of those few hours I have to seize the day; I clear an hour or two to catch up on myself, to think about what lies ahead of me, so I thought I’d share some tips for making the most of the early hours…

Get Up Early
It’s a given – you really have to set your alarm in order to embrace the best part of the day! I think it’s best to wake up naturally, so leave your curtains open a little at night if you can, that way the dreamy, warm sunlight will filter in and awake you from that slumber! No alarms needed.

Get In To A Routine
I love a morning routine, and I’m a creature of habit so I do tend to do the same things everyday.
Set aside ten minutes to give your skin a little TLC, you’ll feel a million times better for it. The new oh so affordable Olay 2-in-1 Hydration range pictured is designed to provide busy gals with all the hydration they need to look after their skin, making them must haves for morning routines!
Try the new Olay 2-in-1 Hydration Balancing + Purifying Cleansing Facewash, £2.99 for a super soft complexion –  this cleanser packs in cucumber and aloe vera, so you can imagine how gorgeous it is to use first thing!

Follow it up with the Hydration + SPF15 Lightweight Lotion, £5.99, another new addition, designed to provide 24 hours of hydration and protect the skin throughout the day, so you’ll never have to double up on products again. This feels like a primer once applied, and has all the benefits of SPF15 protection and anti-oxidants from the added Vitamin E.
Continue on with your usual beauty routine and you’re all set!

Embrace The Calm
For the first few hours of the day, there’s not going to be anyone trying to get hold of you – this is the time to collect your thoughts and relax a little.
Sit down, have a proper breakfast, drink a whole cup of tea without burning your mouth!
I also like to mentally plan my day – it helps me to get in the zone for what’s to come.

Make Lists, Get Organised
Got a lot on today? Making lists is my favourite thing to do! It really helps to prioritise tasks, as well as help you to remember what you’ve got to do that day.
This works on weekdays and weekends, so keep a notepad or agenda handy so you can be practical with your time.
This is adulting, folks…

I’ve also put together a little video on my tips for becoming a morning person! What are your tips for making the most of your mornings?

The Olay 2-in-1 Hydration + SPF15 Lightweight Lotion and Hydration Balancing + Purifying Cleansing Facewash are available exclusively in Superdrug.

Sponsored blog post by Olay UK. I have received payment incentive and samples but all opinions are my own. The Olay 2-in-1 Hydration range has been designed to provide everything younger skin needs most to stay beautiful, healthy-looking and well-hydrated throughout the day. The range retails from £2.99 and is exclusive to Superdrughttp://www.superdrug.com/Olay-Hydration/c/olay-hydration
