I’ve long been a fan of the Clinique Pop Lip Colours; the glide-on, long-wearing formula and flawless shade range is just what I need for everyday wear.
As much as I love the original satin finish formula, I’ve always been a matte lip kinda gal, so when the brand announced two new shine-free finishes, I was basically counting down ’til the release!

These are an extension of the already brilliant Pop Lip line, but with a new matte finish. The lip lacquers have built-in priming properties, so you can guarantee a long-wearing result – something I always look for in lipsticks as it’s such a faff to constantly reapply.
Housed in that same sleek packaging, these have already filled up a drawer in my makeup stash! The colour range is incredibly varied with a whole sixteen shades (!!), with more vibrant hues like Shock Pop (my favourite) to softer, everyday nudes like Peony Pop and Blush Pop. There’s something for everyone and every occasion.

In addition to the above, we also have some pretty special liquid lipsticks on our hands. The beauty world has been going crazy for the full-coverage, matte finish look and I’m loving all the variety out there.
This more modern approach to lip colour means we don’t need to sacrifice on colour or longevity, as the texture glides on to the lips and wears well throughout the day. Plus, they’re not drying at all and require very little maintenance – perfect if you don’t have time for top-ups.

Again, these have a built-in primer to keep the lips hydrated throughout wear – and the transfer-resistant finish has been a god-send for messy old me! I find the applicator gives a really precise, polished application too, so no liner is needed either.
There’s eight shades in total in the Liquid Matte colours, but I’m still really feeling the selection here – Ripe Pop is your ultimate all-year-round red.

These new additions are set to change the way you wear lip colour; the intensely pigmented products are reliable and long lasting throughout the day and in to the night. They won’t bleed, and the ultra velvety texture feels comfortable on the lips, never drying and never cakey. Win, win, win.

Will you be giving these a try?
