It’s no secret that I love cocktails – tasty concoctions served up with a cute garnish? So Instagrammable! I also love to make my own, and my latest sip combines zesty grapefruit with the sweet, floral flavour of elderflower…

I got these iridescent glasses from ASDA, and they’re the perfect way to serve up these dreamy drinks. I went for a simple garnish of rosemary and a sliver of grapefruit to top off my cocktails, but you can experiment. I personally think the rosemary adds a summery vibe, and a bit of colour!

If you love elderflower, get yourself a bottle of St Germain! It’s an elderflower liqueur and it comes in the most fabulous bottle ever. I add it to a lot of cocktails because it’s just so delicious.
I find it offsets the crisp grapefruit perfectly, so if you’re worried about it being a bit sour, the elderflower sorts that right out.

Ingredients

25ml gin
25ml St Germain
200ml grapefruit juice

Method

It’s easy really; add a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker, then add your liquid ingredients. Pop the lid on tight and give it a good shake, before straining in to your waiting glass.
Garnish with a slice of grapefruit, a spring of rosemary and you’re all set.
The recipe above makes one glass, so double if you have company.

Will you be making these pretty creations?
