My everyday hairstyle is very ‘relaxed waves’ – I have hair that is not quite straight, not quite wavy so I always have to style it in some way. I like a lot of body and volume in my locks, but I do tend to prefer a more casual ‘do, so this routine is perfect if you’re after an everyday style that doesn’t require too much effort…
I always use a detangler in my hair, because it’s quite fine and tends to need a little extra help when it comes to getting those knots out. I love the , it’s super lightweight and really makes light work of getting the brush through those tangles!
I started using the TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume Touchable Mousse a month or so ago, and I don’t think I’ve skipped out on it since! I’ve never been a big fan of mousse, but this is so light and it doesn’t ever crisp up in my hair. It also adds MEGA volume, transforming my otherwise very flat hair. It works well if you plan to wave or curl your hair, or even just by leaving the hair to dry naturally or with a diffuser.
Another gamechanger for me was the – before owning a wand, I used straighteners to add waves to my hair and the result never held! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get myself an actual curling wand! I love T3 for styling tools, and the interchangable barrels on the T3 means I can try a few different styles. I prefer the conical barrel for achieving light, almost ’40s style waves with little effort.
I also use the , which comes with a handy barrel brush for maximum body. I’ve been using this for years, and it’s the best hairdryer I’ve come across. I don’t think I’m particularly picky when it comes to hairdryers, but this has a few settings, great power and you can buy a diffuser for it separately.
Once I’ve waved my hair using the Whirl, I gently brush out the curls with my – waiting for the hair to cool first. I then take a tiny amount of the and sort of manipulate the hair in to place. This is another very light styling product that does wonders for the hair, I use it on wet and dry locks as it’s such a great all-rounder.
Just a small amount smoothed through hair tames flyaways and keeps waves looking relaxed and loose. Which is what I’m allllllll about.
It’s a routine that takes around twenty minutes all in all, which isn’t long for such a polished result! Plus, the waves drop over the day and become even more tousled, and I can get by without doing anything with my hair on the second (and sometimes third) day too.
Are you a fan of effortless waves?
