Everyone, literally everyone, loves leopard print, right? It’s the ultimate wardrobe staple in any form, be it something a little less daring like a blouse or boots, or on the other end of the spectrum, a leopard print coat or in this case, a fabulous midi dress capable of being worn in multiple ways.
Lately I’ve been on a mission to make my wardrobe more wearable – I don’t want to be buying new clothes all the time, I want versatile pieces that stand the test of time, can be styled through the seasons and work for just about any event.
I feel most comfortable in midi dresses – not only can they be reworked time and time again (think basket bag and sandals in summer, boots and a beret in winter), they’re also incredibly flattering and fun!
I really like a simple shape – especially a high neck, loosely fitted dress, or a square neckline with a fun, floral print.
The mesh sleeves and loose, flattering means it’s comfortable while still feeling flattering, and it adds a flash of print to an outfit. I feel like this is the kind of dress that makes autumn/winter dressing fun – even with a coat thrown over the top, it feels like you’ve made an effort with your look.
Leopard print looks great with almost every accessory; a leather jacket over the top, a beret in just about every shade (I have a hot pink number I can’t wait to wear with this dress!), chunky winter boots or a pair of Converse, a tan or black bag or something more fun! Oh so versatile and never ever boring.
SHOP THE DRESSThese photos were taken last week, we had hoped to find an autumn backdrop – trees with golden leaves and a floor of autumn hues, but instead we were met with greenery! I may be a little premature with the seasonal content this year, but I ended up loving these pictures. Although I’m desperately sad to say goodbye to summer, I am excited to be wrapping up in midi dresses, winter coats, big boots and berets.
