When we were renovating this flat, we had to pick out all new lighting – well, we had to pick out quite a lot of things. But lighting was one of the hardest, most of the time I was either torn between too much choice or not enough choice.
So now while I don’t require any more lighting, I still can’t get out of the habit of looking! We have lamps on every surface, every available wall… and it still doesn’t feel like enough…
Lighting just makes a room, doesn’t it? I went for bold, brass, spherical fixtures for the ceilings with the ornate cornicing, and added rattan finds in to the other rooms for a bit of warmth. Dotted around the flat is a mix of other styles; lamps in bold colours, fun lampshades… wall lights above bedside tables, pretty pendants in every room. I’ll always make room for beaut lighting options!
