The living room is probably the room we spend most of our time in; usually watching terrible tv and drinking tea, or listening to old records with a gin cocktail. It gets the best wash of warm light in the morning too, so I usually sit in here and have my morning coffee.
I’ve always wanted this room to be a sort of sanctuary – somewhere we can go and feel chilled. A really cosy, homely room.
We recently upgraded our old dark sofa to. I knew our old sofa wasn’t a forever find, so I was excited when I saw – the light grey seemed more fitting for the room, and the larger size was perfect!
The mid-century design looks gorgeous in here – we love that 50s style, especially when paired with brass details and white walls. Ugh, it’s just so warm and welcoming.
I also added more than a few ultra cosy cushions! I love from West Elm – they’re just , they make relaxing in to the cloud sofa an absolute dream.
We didn’t have much of a colour scheme in here before, and I wanted something neutral and almost androgynous because I know I have a tendency to go a bit crazy on the blush tones!
I went for grey, white and mustard in the end – it seemed perfect for the room. Light hues and lots of textures really made the space!
The room now looks like home to me – I added for all of the hygge vibes and added a lot of candles around the room and we’re pretty much set in this room! It’s definitely my favourite place to relax in, no matter what the time of day!
What do you think of our new addition?
