I realised recently that 99% of my handbags are straight up black; whether they’re High Street or high end, I tend to stick to the safer (boring?) shades when it comes to my bags. That was, until I saw a blush pink pick that I just had to have…
I first spied the in this dreamy blush shade on Pinterest a few months back, and I’ve been obsessively trying to hunt it down ever since. When YSL puts your name to a bag, well it’s basically an unwritten law that you have to own it. Thems the rules.
The colour is just perfect, not too much of a garish pink, but a played down pop that works with the gold hardware. I’m so happy to have got my paws on such a dreamy find! I almost hyperventilated in the shop.
I’ve really been trying to downgrade my essentials and only leave the house with smaller, more feminine cross-body bags recently. I got sick of being a token, cat-haired covered bag lady, it’s just not practical when bustling through town or meeting friends for dinner!
I’ve removed the seven extra lipsticks, hand creams, phone chargers and the five pack of Nakd bars in favour of a more streamlined selection. And I am feeling wonderful about it!
I’ve even started using a coin purse instead of my usual YSL wallet, which has been awesome for when I only need a couple of cards. And my ID because I’m using a new night cream right now.
I’ve been styling the bag with most outfits – I’ve found myself wearing a lot of black lately (I know! I’m going backwards through life), and the added pop of pink from the bag gets me all heart-eyed every damn time. It’s just an Instagram outfit waiting to happen.
In fact, I’ve had to have words with myself about how many times I’m allowed to snap my new blush baby…
I still can’t find the bag online, but there’s with a croc finish, and I’ve included a few others that I love below. Just incase you fancy adding a little YSL-shaped lovely to your wishlist…
What do you think of my latest addition? Did you drool a bit or was that just me?
