I recently had a big declutter of my brushes – I used to have hundreds of them, all waiting to be used on rotation (so I didn’t have to do a brush wash as regularly), but I decided to strip back to the best of the bunch, which leaves me with a good handful of favourites…
; If it were up to me, I’d make sure everyone owned this essential! This soft, tapered tool is perfect for defining, highlighting, contouring or just applying blusher. I use it everyday, combing it with a few products for best results.
It has lasted me incredibly well, and shows no signs of wear and tear, and it’s super easy to clean. A must have, for sure.
; I adore all of the Sigma Kabuki brushes, I’ve been using them for years and years (my first brushes!) and I swear by them for foundation application.
This one in particular is a favourite of mine, as the bristles buff in product perfectly, whilst also working with the contours of the face.
Seamless makeup application again and again!
; Another winning sculpting brush, this is best for contouring and highlighting in my opinion. I tend to use the NARS offering for blusher and highlighter, and this one for applying a touch of contour powder. It’s so easy to define myself some cheekbones with this lightweight tool.
; This is a recent addition for Bobbi Brown, but it’s definitely a stand-out offering for me. This dense bristles ensure makeup touch-ups run smoothly – I swear by it for applying (and reapplying!) cream concealer and occasionally powder too. It’s also handy for keeping makeup creases at bay, too.
; Another new addition to my stash, this Anastasia brow brush is the perfect pairing for my favourite Pomade! I adore these angled brushes for shaping my brows, and the spoolie on the end is just as important. Highly recommend!
; This is a bit of a multi-tasker for me, but I bought it for highlighting under my brow bone. I wanted to achieve that effortless, perfectly-shaped brow and I thought this would do the trick! It does all that and more – I love using it for applying under-eye concealer, and it’s also great for lip products.
; If you’re after a wicked line of versatile eye brushes, this rose gold collection is perfect! I love every single one of these brushes – and not only for the dreamy pink and gold handles! The collection packs in everything you’ll ever need to create the perfect smokey eye, and so much more. Some of the best brushes I’ve come across!
