Noooo I am not ready for summer to go… Scotland had like, one day of summer???
My summer this year was better than I could have expected, with a surprise elopement (we planned it two months before!), trips to New York, LA and New Zealand and even a little staycation to London to see one of my favourite bands. So I guess I really can’t complain…
After all that travelling, I’m so ready to put my head down for a couple of months (why do I make that sound like I’m about to hibernate?) and enjoy some time at home.
I’d really like to get ahead of myself with work and celebrate my first Christmas in the UK in a while – and also as a married gal! Eep.
This outfit is from one of the last days of sun we had here in Scotland, a time where I could sling a jacket over my arm rather than step out like the Michelin Man. It was a good day!
It’s probably the most interesting outfit I’ve worn in a while, I found this top (similar here) in Forever21 and I instantly loved it! I’m not sure it’ll make another appearance this year because it’s already sub-zero temperatures up here but I think it’s something I’ll keep on hand for when the country thaws out.
I’m having a bit of a moment with trousers because they’re perfect for the transitional months where jeans and tights seem like too much, too soon.
This pink frilled pair are sold out now but I’ve added some similar versions below. Everyone needs pink trousers in their life.
My favourite sunglasses are these round gold metal cuties from Sunday Somewhere, I wear them everyday because they go with everything and are tooootally flattering on my moon face.
Isn’t it weird how a pair of sunglasses just pull a whole outfit together? I’m never without ’em.
My handbag choice is a little out there, but I really do love a simple white bag! I’m not really someone to reach for black all that often (I know, not very fashun) so this off-white is an easy choice for pairing with every outfit ever.
The Chloe Faye bags are some of my favourites, and I love how it just completes this outfit!
So this is it, the end of summer and summer outfits! Although I’m sad to be waving goodbye to my more colourful pieces, I made a crazy autumn/winter haul filled with cable knit jumpers, ankle boots and midi skirts last night so I’m totally prepped for the new season.
What are you going to miss about summer?
