I wanted to create a ‘go to’ page for any questions you may have – especially those few that I seem to get asked often! Hopefully you will find the answer here, but if not there’s always Twitter

Where did you get the name ‘ghostparties’ from?
That’s a very good question; I wish there was more of a backstory but I think I just came up with it one day. A long time ago, I had a few other personal blogs and I think I just always had this same username ‘ghostparties’. It’s stuck, and I can’t say I love it…

What camera do you use to shoot and film?
I use a Canon 600D for both my blog photography and my (albeit very rare) videos. I usually do a small amount of basic editing in Photoshop afterwards, just to tweak colours and lighting, as well as crop. I also usually use a 40mm pancake lens for my photos.
For videos, I edit in Final Cut Pro.

Where is your accent from? I can’t seem to place it…
I’m from New Zealand originally, but I’ve also lived in Australia, Scotland, England and now I’ve settled in Glasgow. My accent is pretty much a mix of every country I’ve lived in, and it often changes depending on who I’m speaking to.

Is blogging your full time job? How did you get in to it? Any advice for new bloggers?
It is indeed, a very different job from what I imagined years ago! I never really planned for things to be this way, which is the case for most bloggers, but I took the leap and it’s worked out well. Blogging takes a lot of effort, and it’s a path that is constantly changing, constantly adapting and you have to be quick to keep up!
As for advice, I would say be original, be yourself and have fun with it – don’t expect the world and be happy with what comes your way. Oh, and never compare yourself to anyone else.

Where do you live and who do you live with?
I live just south of Glasgow city centre, in a lovely old flat with my boyfriend and our cat, Mouse.

How do you have fun?
I’m very much a homebody, I love doing DIY to our flat, reading gripping psychological thrillers, watching entire series on Netflix in a day, or just getting on with blogging. I also love weaving, drinking coffee and browsing ASOS…
I also love seeing my BFFs, walking around the West End, sinking cocktails and going out to my favourite restaurants.

Name some of your favourite stores…
I usually shop at ASOS, Topshop, Forever21, H&M and New Look for clothes. For makeup, it has to be John Lewis, Space NK and Liberty and Selfridges (when I’m in London!).
For interiors, I love MADE.COM, West Elm, Swoon Editions, H&M Home, Ikea and Etsy.

If you weren’t blogging, what would you be doing for a career?
I guess something in beauty or maybe even interiors. Or maybe even writing a book… who knows!

Lovely blog! You’re one of my favorites and I adore your header. Such a simple, fun design. The “0” instead of “o” is so fun and so unique. You inspired me to start writing again so thank you for that. Keep it comin’! xo
