My bedside beauty edit…
I’d like to think my bedside table is fairly minimal (you may disagree!), I’m quite selective about my night-time skincare routine and besides, I do a lot of my skincare routine in the bathroom! With that in mind, my bedside holds a mix of beauty products that I love to apply if I have a few extra minutes to spare before my head hits the pillow. It’s really a case of how much energy I can spare…
And yes, I did remove the three glasses of water and two teacups before I shot these photos. I know you were all wondering.
I’m a big fan of routine and before bed I’m usually make-up free, showered and cleansed but the fun doesn’t need to stop there! There are a few products I like to keep close to me during the late hours, from hand creams to haircare. These bedside necessities are the first and last things I reach for each day, helping me drift off into a deep sleep, unwind and find clarity after a busy day.
My bed is my absolute favourite place to retreat to and I really value a good night’s sleep these days. My bedside table is the west elm Penelope* which has just enough space for my good night goodies.
I also have a pretty wonderful Frances Costelloe print sitting next to my bed, this was a present from Jordan and I love it so much!
On to the beauty bits…
The Living Proof Night Cap Overnight Perfector deserves a coveted spot on my nightstand, I swear by this stuff! It works wonders for my hair during the night and the best thing is I don’t even need to wash it out the next day, it actually makes my hair look less greasy come morning somehow! A wonderful product to invest in if you want to make your hair last a little longer between washes.
Of course, my nightly saviour! I spritz this dreamy This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray onto our sheets and pillows every night for a better night’s sleep, both Jordan and I have come to associate this scent with cosy bedtimes and we love it so much.
If I can be bothered, I slick a bit of balm on my lips before I turn in for the night. I always notice a difference when I do this, but it does always seem like a lot of effort last thing at night! The beaut packaging of this Herbivore Coco Rose Lip Conditioner makes the task that little more bearable, however.
I cleared plenty of space for this new Dr Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Cream*, doesn’t the name sound like everything you’d ever want from a face cream?! Gosh, I love this range! The multi-purpose skin saviour is the hydrating, calming boost my skin craves at bedtime.
I recently got sent this beautifully packaged Diptyque Philosykos Hand & Body Lotion*, a lightweight cream that helps to hydrate and soften. I put it straight on my bedside to slather on my lizard-like legs right before I hit the hay! Such a luxe treat.
I make it a point to read before I go to bed and my evening ritual just now is to burn the Overose Paris candle in Guaiasilk as I tuck in to my latest book. Jordan always loves the flickering of a candle before bed too, such a lovely romantic and cosy atmosphere to help us both unwind after a long day!
How do you curate your bedside spaces? Do you have a nighttime routine?
