The products I won’t be without…
I really find beauty products the hardest to pack, I’m one of those people that uses a million products to make it look like they haven’t used any (oh so natural, me…), so it’s one hell of a mission to try and narrow it down. I would honestly pack my entire beauty routine if that weight restriction wasn’t in place.
After a trip, I tend to make little notes on what worked for me and what I wish I’d have packed. It’s always the same; pack a hair mask, take more body lotion, skip the face masks, stick to what you love already.
There are some products that I can’t be without – they live on my makeup table or next to my sink, but also find their way in to my travel cosmetics case too. I don’t dare travel without them because they are essentials in my getting ready routine!
Hair…
I bought a mini size Moroccanoil Light Treatment in the US a while ago, and it’s been an absolute saviour for my fine hair! I sweep a small amount through damp hair and it really works to soothe and nourish without weighing it down. I find that a lot of oils are way too heavy for me and end up giving my hair a sexy greasy sheen, but this hits the spot every time.
For trips that involve swimming, sunbathing, sun etc., I always use the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. This is a pre-treatment that is applied before shampooing and left on like a mask, working to deeply moisturise the hair. I usually apply it to my hair as I sunbathe and swim to protect my locks from chlorine and sea water, and it works like a dream. I keep a tube on hand at home for slathering on at the weekends to keep my locks in check, it’s a cult product for a reason!
There’s always room in my case for a few of the amazing Ouai Treatment Masques, if you haven’t tried these, I urge you too! They’re such a quick fix for hair in need, and perfect for travelling too.

Makeup…
I adore the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Beauty Flash, I feel like this is my secret to a glowy complexion. I either smear it on after moisturiser or mix it in with my foundation, both methods result in a beaut hit of luminosity. Again, I use this whether I’m at home or on the move, I’m rarely without it!
Another product that works to upgrade my base is the incredible Lumene Watercolour Bronzer. I usually mix this in with my foundation for a bit of a lift to my foundation, it’s done me a solid throughout summer when I need a little more colour – and it saves me having winter and summer shades of my faves.
I also like to use my beautyblender to stipple a little in where the sun hits. An instant sunkissed glow without the cakey-ness.
I also love the Bobbi Brown Sparkly Cream Shadow Sticks, they’re ideal for lazy girls like me who want to look a bit more polished but can’t be bothered with eyeshadow. I run the stick along my lower lash line for a hit of glitter, and it never fails to make my eyes pop. Sunlight is such a perfect shimmer, but I’m expecting to use some of the darker hues throughout autumn.

The perfect pop of pink…
My numero uno at the moment is the NARS Multiple in Orgasm, I wear this on my cheeks daily and it really looks like it was made for me! It’s the perfect pop of colour for my skin tone and blue eyes. I just apply it straight from the tube on to my cheeks, and then use a fluffy blush brush to blend in. It seems more like a summer colour, but I doubt I’ll find anything as perfect to replace it throughout winter!

Skincare…
I’m still absolutely smitten with the Origins Cleansing Makeup Removing Jelly, it’s such a lovely product to use and it sweeps away makeup like a dream. I find it so effective as the first step in my cleansing routine, and I love it so much that I actually have two tubes – one in my bathroom, and one ready-packed in my travel bag! Adulting at its finest.
I discovered the Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner recently and have been hooked ever since. A lot of mists end up making my skin feel more parched, but this coats the skin with a fine, fresh wash of hydration. I’ve been using it sort of like an essence in my skincare routine (after cleansing but before my treatments), and throughout the day and on flights as I feel I need it. It’s my first intro in to Indie Lee skincare and now I want to try more!
Body…
As I said, body lotion is always that one products I forget to pack and always regret! Luckily this time I got a travel sized Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, which I’ve been a big fan of for the longest time. The delicious scent combined with the beautifully hydrating formula makes it perfect for slathering on after a shower, and not just on your butt either!
I think I’d be foolish to even try and live without this lot, they’re staples in my routines for good reason.
Oh, and a little tip – usually if I love a product, I buy the full size and the mini version (if such a thing exists). That way I can keep topping up the mini size without repurchasing the tubs and tubes over and over again!
Have you tried any of these? Which products do you love at home and on the move?
