Sunday usually means an interiors post from me, and so I had to introduce my sexy new shelves to you all. We had a blank space (baby) behind the sofa, and we decided on some simple white shelves to fill the gap… and also display my many trinkets!

The shelves are just from IKEA – I liked the simpleness of them, the white blends in to the walls and doesn’t look too imposing, and they’re just the right width for the space. We’ve got rid of most of our IKEA pieces by now, but there are some things that are just too ideal (and affordable!) to resist.

We also needed somewhere to hold our record player and the Marshall Acton Speaker – you’re probably thinking that these have been moved around a lot, as we’ve never had an actual space to put them. Luckily they’ve found their forever home on these shelves, so we can actually make full use of both. Yay for constant loud music!

Most of the trinkets are from West Elm, as I love that rich brass shade – especially against the white. The cushions are all H&M Home, these weren’t intentional and were bought over a period of time – until I realised that we had enough to make some sort of arrangement on the sofa!

Pops of green come from my many plants filling this space; they just breathe life in to the room! You can’t beat a good plant, I always say.

What do you think of our updated space?
