Sephora Haul: New York Edition.

It’s finally time to show you the goodies I picked up in New York! I went to so many Sephoras, I just love the place – and the free Wifi keeps Jordan entertained for hours.

I didn’t have a list or anything, I was kind just going with it – if I saw something I fancied, I’d give it a whirl. And… well, quite a lot took my fancy!

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist; I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but something drew me to the pretty packaging and I treated myself to the skin mist – although now I wish I’d bought more. So much more.
My skin was so parched from the cold weather, and so I went for this thinking it would make my skin a little more comfortable. It did that and so much, delivering an ultra-fine mist of dewy ingredients! I’ve never tried anything like this before, I was expecting a refreshing water that feels instantly relieving but kind of drying in the long run. Nope! This leaves my complexion looking glorious, and my skin felt comfortably hydrated at all times. Full review on its way.

Too Faced Hangover Face Primer; For some reason, Too Faced are a brand I never really buy when I’m in the UK – I’m pretty sure the only products I have from the brand are from the US! Anyway, I had to have this stuff – it just sounded amazing. It boosts hydration and radiance, delivering coconut water to the skin for a rush of energy that perks up the complexion.
It feels beautiful to apply and really works wonders in an instant.

Verb Dry Shampoo; I picked this up on a whim, as my hair needed a bit of volume and I hadn’t taken anything with me to help. It was probably the packaging that swayed me, but the product itself is pretty awesome. The pointed nozzle means it’s easy to get right down to the roots, and the powder doesn’t leave hair looking grey. Win!

Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation; This was my first experience of a Sephora base, and all I can say is wow. This is the foundation of my dreams – it’s light, blends beautifully, conceals imperfections and leaves skin looking naturally radiant. It’s still early days for a foundation, but I know I’m on to a winner here!

NARS Sin Blush; my love for Nars makeup just won’t die down, and so I ended up with two new products in my possession this trip. The first, Sin blush – a dreamy blue-toned berry pink, with a hint of golden shimmer that perfects the cheeks and promises the most flattering of flushes. I’m hooked on this stuff!

NARS Silk Road Eyeshadow Duo; I’ve got quite the collection of NARS eyeshadows now, as I really do think they’re the best, but my stash was missing Silk Road! I’m not sure if this duo is only available in the US, because I’ve never been able to get it here, but it’s so pretty! A shimmery couple of colours that works with all skin tones.

Burberry Cashmere Concealer; Another favourite find of mine was this Burberry concealer, complete with super soft sponge application for maximum coverage, and oh so blendable finish. This is capable of concealing just about anything, and it looks so natural on the skin. I use it under and over foundation, and it always delivers!

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo; I added this to my basket on a whim, and I’m still on the fence about it. I wanted to try something new for my brows, but I don’t think a powder is really what I wanted. It’s a bit hard, making application slightly tricky, and it does take a bit of effort to make brows look natural. Nonetheless, I’m willing to persevere! Expect an update soon, brow lovers!

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Blackberry Sorbet; What’s a trip to Sephora without picking up one of these lovelies? These are some of my favourite lip products, and I really wanted a deep berry shade for winter. I haven’t really been able to wear this yet, thanks to super dry lips, but I’m determined to crack it out soon. Just look at that colour!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner; I was told this is the liner to buy, it’s cult status is what sold me on this! I just had to see what all the fuss what about. I quite like the nib, but it seems to dry to apply fluidly – I’m not sure if I got a dud, but it didn’t live up to the hype for me! I have gone back to my £1.99 Collection liner instead… eep! Did I get unlucky here?!

Sigh. Sephora I love you. What do you think of my buys?

I’ve been really wanting to try the too faced hangover primer! I adore too faced as a brand and after hearing so many positive reviews on it I feel like I really need it now haha. I still havnt bit the bullet and bought from Nars yet, but I’m feeling the eyeshadows are a must. Thus post has just made me want to go on a shopping spree haha X

I definitely think you got unlucky with your Kat Von D eyeliner, I love mine so much. I am already started to plan what I want to buy when I head back to NY this summer x

Dry shampoo is the best! I love it, I really want to try the nars sin blush, it looks gorgeous!

  • You’ve got some really great products here. I recently got back from a 3 week trip to America and went a bit crazy in Sephora too! I so wish they’d bring it back to the UK x

  • Some gorgeous products. On my next sephora order, going to pick up the tatcha, and so glad you have sin blush – it’s the best! x

  • Love it! 🙂 Would love if you could follow me on Bloglovin’ xx

  • Love your buys! Nice colors!

  • I do not get on with the Tattoo Liner either. Much prefer her Ink Liner!

  • I’ll have to try out that Nars duo! The colors look so pretty!

    xo Lauren

  • The Nars Duo looks so pretty, I love Nars but haven’t actually tried any of their eyeshadows! I might have to have a look next time I’m by a counter 🙂

I’m interested in the base now! I will have to look into that. The NARS duo looks great too. I just changed from the tattoo liner back to my Stila liner. While the Kat Von D has a thinner point the stila is darker and has great staying power.

  • The Sephora love is real.
I’ve wanted to try the Tatcha mist for a few months now, but I don’t think they sell it at my local Sephora. I know I could use it during these freeezing cold months right now!

  • I’ve so much about the Kat Von D liner, it’s a shame it didn’t work out!

  • I probably would have bought the dry shampoo because of the packaging too…I am a sucker for pretty packagings haha!

  • Maggie

Silk road sounds amazing I might have to check it out soon! It sounds perfect!

  • I haven’t heard anything about that Sephora foundation, would love to read a full review on it!

  • Julia

The Tattoo Liner disappointed me too…. thought I was the only one! I also assumed mine was a dud haha.

  • The NARS eyeshadow duo is so pretty! I haven’t heard much about those colors, but I think they look fantastic. I think you’ll love the brow powder duo, it’s becoming my favorite.

    Perfect Shade of Mauve

  • Amazing picks! I’m such a huge fan of Tatcha’s Dewy Skin Mist (great at setting makeup and adding back some glow after powdering) and I’ve been eyeing up that Burberry concealer!

  • I’ve been on the hunt for a new long lasting, liquid liner for yonks now. Tons of people recommended Kat Von D to me but I was always wary. My favorite liner is the Seventeen Tattoo Me Liquid Liner because it’s so inexpensive and really holds up amazingly on my oily eyelids but I can’t get it stateside! That being said I’m glad to read your review of the Kat Von D liner, as I’ll probably pass on it this time. Any recs for a good eyeliner that I can possibly get my hands on in the USA? x

  • NARS Sin blusher looks amazingly lovely in the autumn and winter months. It was one of the first blushers I bought from NARS back in the day!

  • Trudy Johanna

AH GOD I want everything! The Verb dry shampoo looks interesting, I really like the packaging!

  • I really hope Silk Road is available on this side of the pond, it looks like the lost gorgeous duo. Reading this though has definitely helped me out a little for what I want for my birthday! x

We’re so intrigued by the Sephora foundation and Burberry concealer though! Would love to see a YouTube tutorial! x

  • Lovely selection of products here! I always see beauty bloggers and YouTubers raving about the Too Faced Hangover primer and it’s something that’s been on my wishlist for ages, can’t wait to see how you get on with it.

Some great bits here, I’d like to pick up a few of these when I’m in the US later in the year as well. The Too Faced primer sounds really good, and weirdly I only ever buy Too Faced products when I’m in the US as well!

  • YES! I need that dewy skin mist and I’ve also heard really great things about the sephora foundation! I’m going to look into if they have my shade, but all these products are lovely! Awesome haul! xo

  • I want to dry both the dewy skin mist and foundation… but would you recommend them for oily/combination skin? Also, I had the same drying up problem with my Kat Von D liner! I love it but it only lasted for a few weeks before pretty much drying up /:

  • TheThriftyVegetarian

Tatcha looks like a great brand for me to try, but considering the postage costs to Australia and the exchange rate, it’s far too expensive. I looked up stockists in Japan, as I’m heading there in April, but alas, it’s an American brand so they don’t sell it there. How disappointing, because I just found out that it’s cruelty-free and PETA accredited and was looking forward to trying them out.

I’d love to try the Too Faced primer, it sounds perfect! Funnily enough, the Melbourne Sephora store doesn’t stock Too Faced so I’ll have to go to Mecca Maxima instead and grab a sample. Fingers crossed it’s the primer of my dreams.

  • I have been trying a couple of Tatcha products and I am loving it so much. I have not tried this mist and I really want to because I keep hearing great things about it! -Maireem

Sephora Cream Lip Stain is awesome, I have the n.01 – Always Red; but you’ll need to use a good lip balm underneath.
I can’t wait to try the Too Faced Hangover Primer, it sounds amazing… though it’s difficult to find here in Italy.

Sephora is a dangerous place. That Nars blush is very pretty.

I still don’t have Silk Road, either, but now I think I may have to try it out. Also, the Sephora foundation sounds dreamy. Your blog is so hard on my wallet!

  • Love your Sephora haul! That skin mist sounds like it really works wonders. I’ll have to take a look next time I’m in Sephora 🙂

I got a setting mist that I talk about in my Sephora haul video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Snas92ru_KA, but this one sounds a lot more therapeutic 🙂
