The Dewy Skin Foundation I’ve Been Waiting For.

The title of this post makes it seem like someone has set up a Dewy Skin Foundation to help those with lacklustre complexions, living in unacceptable base conditions. Sadly, that’s not a thing, but our prayers for perfectly perky, oh so radiant skin may have been answered with this little wonder.

I’ve been trialling the new Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation for a couple of months now, and I’m definitely on to a winner here – although I do have to admit that I’ve never been a fan of GA bases before.
This may be my current Roaccutane skin type speaking, as before I had oily/combo skin – I feel like their bases are best for dry-er skin types. Now I’m in the dry skin camp, I’m all over the radiance-boosting bases!

The foundation is very fluid, which I’ve come to like – application is seamless and skin looks natural and awakened. The brand state that despite this water-like consistency, there’s no water involved in the formulation. Instead, they’ve used a combination of ultra-nourishing oils to leave the skin supple and fresh.
It is very smoothing to apply, it’s really unlike anything I’ve ever tried – but it stays put, and applies wonderfully, and only a touch is needed for a perfected, buildable base. It’s almost like a primer and foundation in one. Super!

The finish is exactly what I wish for from a base; very natural, with a coverage that hides any unsightly blemishes or redness, and a dreamy hint of radiance that I’ve never been able to achieve before. I’m hooked on the stuff!

I can see that this may be a bit hit and miss though – the oil-based formula isn’t going to be for all, though it would be interesting to see how it holds up on oily complexions. When my skin was oily, I found using oils was the best thing for it, so there’s a chance this could be a gamechanger!

A definite yes from me! I believe this launches next month, so try and get a sneaky sample if you can.
