5 Things: Everyday Beauty Staples.

beautystaples

As much as I love trying new beauty buys (being a blogger and all), I do remain loyal to a few certain products. My daily moisturiser rarely changes, for example, and I’ve been using the same foundation since discovering it last year! Here’s a little guide to some products I reach for day in, day out…

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel; I rave about this stuff endlessly! I think this is pretty much a blogger essential, and the hype is to be believed. This buttery balm (as I always describe it) is the ultimate skincare essential, it ensuresΒ makeup removal is the most effortless of tasks, and it really does promise a big difference to my complexion.
The delicious formula is all-natural, super nourishing and really softening on the skin. Try it once and I promise you’ll also have a Renaissance habit – lucky the tube lasts a while, huh.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream; I ignored the buzz surrounding this stuff for far too long! If you haven’t already tried this gorgeous daily moisturiser, I urge you to treat yourself to a tub. Jordan and I go through so much of this, as it really is the best ever moisturiser. It sinks in so quickly, never leaves the face feeling tacky, and it even primes my skin perfectly for makeup.
It’s so quenching but not at all greasy – I just can’t fault it!

R+Co Dallas Thickening Spray; I’ve always been a salt spray kinda girl, but there’s another product I spritz on daily for big locks – Dallas Thickening Spray. I reeeeeally like this stuff, and I don’t go a day without it. It’s maximum body without the crispiness, and I think it pairs nicely with salt spray (especially the R+Co spritz) for a lovely, wavy ‘do.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation; This has to be my favourite base, it’s just divine. The light, super-liquid formula melts in to the skin and blends out for the most natural yet perfected finish ever. The shade range is more than ideal, and the long-wearing result means I’m never topping up by lunchtime. I covers my acne, redness and uneven tone whilst promoting a touch of radiance that looks so fresh and beautiful. Me love.

Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight; Yup, this complexion-enhancing wonder has made the cut too. Before I treated myself to this, I thought it was just like any old highlighter – I was wrong. This is a superfine powder that adds an all-over supermodel-esque glow to the skin, transforming a dull complexion in seconds. It blurs imperfections, and really gives the skin this immaculate glow. I use a large powder brush and lightly dust it all over – perfection.

Have you got any ‘everyday staples’? What do you think of my picks?

  • Heehee, I have only followed your blog for a month or so, but I already know your addiction to Oskia cleanser ;). The ingredient are great, it even has the same pumpkin enzyme the Peter Roth pumpkin exfoliate has AND lots of skin vitamin yummies, the ingredients definitely get a HUGE tick πŸ˜‰

  • Oh I definitely have a Renessaince habit now. Which not too sure is it good or bad since Oskia products are up there in price haha! The cleanser does make a huge difference and I believe my skin would be twice as better if I were to use it in the morning but….just can’t. Too pricey to be replenished every 2 months :/
