A Winter Obsession.

I don’t know when this obsession came about, I seem to have avoided the Pomegranate Noir hype for some time – I think perhaps it was a seasonal thing, as I’ve had the candle burning for a few months and although it was enjoyable, I never really fell in love until recently. Right when my candle was coming to an end, actually. Fancy that. Since then, I’ve been hooked on the scent, like most Jo Malone fans it seems…

My latest love is this beautiful, heavenly scented Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Bath Oil (From £17), a gorgeous glass bottle with the typical monochrome packaging, finished off with the signature black bow. I instantly went all heart-eyed as soon as I saw it – it’s just a treat for the eyes. And the nose. Heck, even my skin gets some TLC from this stuff. I tipped a little in my bath last night, for the very first time, and instantly I was soothed and relaxed. The musky, floral fumes floated up and around my entire bathroom – it was truly delicious. I could still smell the scent in my bathroom when I went in this morning, it was just divine.

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of giving the Pomegranate Noir scent a whiff, I’ll try and explain it as best as I can – it’s quite a crisp, light fruity scent but with this really sophisticated, musky edge. I wasn’t really a fan throughout summer but as soon as the colder weather hit (sometime in June, ha ha) I was just in love. It definitely is a very winter appropriate fragrance, there’s hints of pomegranate, raspberry, plum and pink pepper – it’s just incredible, almost edible!

The bath oil, as well as providing a wash of the most gorgeous scent, creates a small amount of bubbles when poured in to the running water and it smoothes and softens the skin for some much needed nourishment too. It’s a lovely treat, or perhaps a gift if you have the willpower!
2015 will see me own the entire Pomegranate Noir collection, just you wait…

Been wearing this scent for years along with several other JM scents (prior to the line being purchased by a major cosmetics behemoth). Love it almost as much as Red Roses.

  • That scent sounds absolutely divine! I love Jo Malone stuff, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that some goodies appear under the tree next week! xo

  • I’ve never smelled this (or any of Jo Malone’s scent for that matter) but your description sounds divine. It seems like a great balance of scents and quite uncommon. I’ve read many reviews – enough to know that anyone can and will love any of the scents!

I never had the chance to try something from Jo Malone. Guess I need to do that.

  • Hi Kate!

Jo Malone is really starting to take off over here in the States. I used to buy it when I lived in England. I see it at a lot the US shops now. I’ve never been keen on the perfumes because so many of them have some element of a food or spice, but I really like it in candle form. Especially the nutmeg one during the holidays.

  • I should really try out some Jo Malone products because they’re constantly being reviewed x

  • I bet it smells delicious! Great Christmas gift idea as I’m sure no one would mind getting this under the tree 🙂

  • I absolutely adore Jo Malone! I didn’t know they did bath oils but they look incredible!

Santa bought me a Pomegranate Noir perfume! I definitely want to try the bath oil now I’ve read this, it’s an expensive addiction though, one I will try my hardest to avoid…! I wrote a post on my Jo Malone Christmas gift if you want to have a read.
