Makeup Medley #14.

A new month means a switch up in my daily makeup products. I’ve become pretty good at rotating my stash, and I find this series of posts really helps to get me ready for the seasons too.

I keep talking about the Clinique Even Better Foundation (£24.50), but it really is a lovely choice. I don’t use it specifically because it evens out tone, although I could be doing with it, I just really love everything from the texture to the finish. It’s so perfecting but really natural once applied, and I like the slightly radiant, not overly shiny result once blended. Me loooove.
I’ve also dug out the MAC Strobe Cream (£24.50), I have a love/meh affair with this – sometimes I love the result and other times I’m not overly wowed by it. However, a makeup artist used it on me recently and the result was lovely. She just tapped it on cheekbones, Cupid’s bow and temples and it did wonders for my complexion – I would usually apply it all over so it was a nice change, I think I’ll try this method in future.

The Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in First Love (£30) is my autumn cheek colour of choice; I just adore everything from her line and this duo is no exception. I love the mix of hues, and the creamy texture blends like a dream – I tend to just swirl it together and sweep over cheeks. Definitely something to pop on your Christmas list, ladies.

As for eyes, I got my mitts on the new Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette (£22) and I just love it – I’m a huge fan of the first Basics palette so I just knew this would also be a favourite with me. I love no-fuss shadow combinations like this, there’s not too much choice and you quickly learn which tones work for you. Every shade is a winner for me, it’s lovely and flattering against my skin tone and a great day to evening palette for any occasion.

Lastly, another Clinique mascara that has ended up in my stash! I’ve been using the Clinique High Impact Mascara (£17.50) and I love it. The brush is great for grabbing every hair and the formula doesn’t budge or smudge at all. It’s a bit of a winner, although I think I still prefer the Extreme Volume version for obvious reasons – it’s nice to have something easy for everyday wear, though.

Have you tried any of these?
