I did everything in my power to stop this week’s post from being full of skincare – I tend to either have makeup or skincare weeks where I just get really in to one or the other. Luckily I managed to balance this out with some very lovely colour picks…
I have a true, undying love for the Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer (£29.50), this little treatment keeps my skin in check no matter what the weather or condition of my complexion. A lot of you will know that spot treatments and other skincare for blemish prone skin can be incredibly drying, so I constantly need to keep my face hydrated. Luckily I always have this stuff on hand, it’s a rich cream that instantly relieves skin of that dry uncomfortable feeling and just generally keeps the texture smooth and even. It’s my go-to treatment, along with rosehip oil, and it’s nourishing enough to use at night instead of a night cream.
I have been raving about Erborian lately, and I was lucky enough to receive this Erborian CC Creme HD (£35) to try out – so far I am seriously impressed. If you’ve followed my blog for a while you will know how much I adore the Origins VitaZing, and I’m always looking for similar products. I’ve definitely found a long term love in this little tube, which aims to brighten, even and boost the complexion with it’s hydrating, colour-correcting formula. It looks similar to VitaZing in that it has little specks held inside a moisturiser, which blend to give a glowing complexion. Definitely a new favourite!
As for a couple of makeup bits, this YSL Gloss Volupte (£21) is definitely an everyday product for me at the moment. I’m not a lipgloss girl at all, I hate anything sticky or glossy on my lips – but this feels weightless and provides a flattering shimmer that plumps the lips, rather than full on gloss. I have shade 20 which is the perfect nude.
Also seen here is my current nail shade, Bobbi Brown Nectar Nail Polish (£11) from the latest collection. I love the fiery shade of coral as my tip colour – seen here. It’s such a juicy shade, ideal for this time of year.
