This Week’s Most Loved… #42.
I’m all over these new beauty releases at the moment, there seems to be quite a few new products hitting stores at the moment and I’m taking full advantage. Not all of these are new, however, as I’ve also uncovered a few old favourites too.
I love a hair product with “thickening” in the name as I’m forever trying to make my flat, fine hair a little bigger – I’ve been using Bumble and bumble Thickening Full Form Mousse * lately and really like it. I only ever use styling products on damp hair (with the exception of dry shampoo), as they work better and don’t leave any residue. I feel like mousse is such an 80s thing, I’ve never been a fan of it as it usually leaves my hair crispy but I gave this a chance and wow – that’s some amount of hold! No crispiness in sight and definitely no signs of any product in my roots. I usually use a blowdry brush with my hairdryer for maximum bounce!
Also a new release, these Estee Lauder Pure Colour Cheek Rush products are currently my blusher of choice. Pictured here is Hot Fuse, a lovely bright pink/red that creates quite a bright but natural flush on the cheeks. I reckon this is the perfect shade for all skin tones as it’s so flattering. I pump a tiny bit on my fingers, apply to my cheeks and then quickly blend for a pop of colour.
I’ve been using the MAC MSF in Lightscapade lately and I have to say, I do love it as a change to my favourite Soft and Gentle. Lightscapade is much more natural and really smoothes over the skin – minimising imperfections and pores and helping to give complexion a lovely glow. I think this is very much like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders but a whole lot cheaper! Definitely one of my favourite all over powders.
Another old love has to be Estee Lauder Idealist Skin Refinisher, this is a serum/primer product that is used before moisturiser to resurface and exfoliate the skin. I love this as it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and helps to minimise pores and other imperfections. It’s not cheap but it lasts well and does the job!
Finally, the Elemental Herbology Cell Food Radiance & Vitality Serum worked it’s way in to my hands recently after months of wishing. I love EH skincare, it just works so well and doesn’t contain any nasties. This is great for perking up dull skin and helping to revive the complexion. I’m loving using it at the moment!
