I’ve been at it again, all over the Boots aisles and in to the latest releases! This isn’t really a haul, but more like a few new additions that I’ve added in to my routines for one reason or another. I’m all for switching up my beauty products and very rarely do I have a strict routine that I run with every day, this goes hand in hand with writing beauty content as there’s always something new to try.
My hair has been enjoying a few new things lately, namely this Dove Intense Repair Leave-in Conditioner; I’ve used the yellow version of this before and I really do love it but I knew it was time to trial something else. I liked the sound of this as it’s meant to work best on damaged or dry hair, helping to repair the ends and keep it in good condition. This is really affordable, smells incredible and detangles my hair so well – it always works on wet or dry hair so I find that it’s good for refreshing hair inbetween washes, too.
Also on my haircare checklist is the new Bumble and bumble Thickening Creme Contour *, a new release for the brand that I’ve been in to. This is meant for fine hair to give it a bit of shape and structure, although it’s probably best for shorter hair. I like adding a tiny bit to my roots on day old hair to give an extra boost!
In the skincare department, I’ve been all over this Caudalie Vinoperfect Enzymatic Peel Mask – I find peel masks do the most good for my skin, always helping to create a smoother, more refined texture and also really fading blemish scars and uneven tone. I try and use one once a week or every 10 days to prep my skin and make sure it looks as bright as possible. I’ve also added a new serum in to my nightly routine, this time the Elemental Herbology Cell Food Radiance & Vitality Serum, I’ve been using this for over a week now and I find that it’s nice and light on my skin but I’m not sure if it’s doing a lot of good to the smoothness of my skin (something I usually look for in products) but it seems to be helping to keep my complexion brighter. I shall persevere and give you a full review soon!
On to makeup, my new base is the Dior HydraLife BB Creme – this was a rather expensive purchase (although I’m kicking myself for not buying it on Escentual!). I went to the counter a few times and swatched this and even let the MUA on counter apply it on me, something I never do for some reason. After getting a sample the first time I went, I just loved this and the colour really works with my slight tan. I reckon I’ll probably get more use out of this on holiday and post-trip – it’s really good coverage for a BB so I usually apply with a newly-washed Beautyblender to blend it in well where I don’t need as much coverage and build it up on problem areas. So far it’s a winner!
Lastly, my lip product of choice – Bourjois Colour Boost Lipstick in Peach on the Beach *, I don’t think a day has gone by where I haven’t put this on lately. The colour is a lovely sheer coral/peach and I love how beautiful it looks against my skin tone.
Have you tried any of these?
