This Week’s Most Loved… #41.
I really had to narrow this week’s picks down, if you clocked this morning’s Instagram picture you’ll know I’m testing and trialling a lot of new favourites this week. I managed to slim down the pickings and conjure up six top favourites – as well as pull out another few for a June Favourites video later (don’t say I’m not good to you!)
Topping my list lately has to be a couple of beautiful oils that I just adore, the Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil has actually featured on here a few times but I’ve rediscovered it lately and my skin is feeling and looking better than ever. This is just a body oil but I find the pump creates such a fine spritz that it’s far easier to use than it’s more pricey alternatives. The scent is subtle but beautiful and it’s really quick to absorb in, too.
I’ve always been using the Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Miracle Facial Oil, which is a pre-cleanse that helps to loosen dirt and debris from the skin and create a really nice sensuuualll (say it like Austin Powers does) experience when removing your makeup. This is such a nice silky product that just melts in to my skin, I end up applying so much because it feels amazing – I use a face cloth and warm water to remove. Afterwards I use my usual cleanser to take off the anything else.
A couple of new additions include this amazing Wild About Beauty Botanical Skin Prep Serum, which sits somewhere between a serum and primer but basically makes your skin feel like a cloud and makeup sit better than ever. It helps to hydrate skin and give it a boost in the skincare department whilst also creating the perfect base for makeup – we all know about my primer obsession and I can confirm that this has made the cut!
Similarly, I’ve been LOVING this Dior Gel Top Coat – it gives nails that gel-nail sheen and it seems to be the only topcoat that stops my nails from chipping in minutes. The price tag isn’t for the faint-hearted but it’s really, really great – I love looking at my nails when this is on! If anyone has any recommendations for a cheaper alternative, throw them over but I doubt anything will match this!
I went back to basics lately and opted for Topshop Whimsical on my lips – it’s such a pretty peach that suits my skintone so well. It can be a little drying on lips so I tend to tap it on over lip balm or gloss which gives a better result anyway. And finally, another product I seem to talk about non-stop! Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray is sort of like a salt spray and their amazing texture spray in one, it can be used on wet and dry hair and results in such sexy, tousled locks. This is usually my go-to hair product, I love how much texture and hold it gives my fine locks.
What have you been loving this week? Have you tried any of these picks?
