A Flat Tour.
It’s been about six weeks since we moved in to our beautiful flat and I thought it was about time I introduced you all to some of my favourite bits. We got lucky with this flat, I searched high and low for a new flat but this one was the first and only one we viewed which says a lot! It has a lovely view of Glasgow, too.
First up, our lovely living room which is massive and features huge windows, like most of the rooms. We spend a lot of our time in here and it’s so lovely and cosy, Jordan put up the photo wall featuring some Phil Collins and Pet Shop Boys vinyl. We had a larger version of this in our last flat but most of the frames have gone elsewhere around the flat now. I expect we’ll be adding to it though. The living room, kitchen and bedroom all have these built in shelves as seen in the third picture (the living room) and the second last photo (kitchen) and I usually display photo frames and other trinkets here.
Also in the living room is our beauty of a fireplace! I should have got a full picture of this as it’s really lovely. We have the IKEA shelves which hold all Jordan’s rom-coms and Natalie Portman films and his extensive vinyl collection. I love having everything on display like this, we are mostly very tidy but we have a lot of stuff which I like displayed neatly.
Moving on to the bedroom, I didn’t photograph too much of this but here you can see our sprawling floor to ceiling wardrobes – I still don’t have enough space, though! Also seen is my little dressing area with mirror, vintage dressing table and another set of storage drawers. The dresser holds all of my makeup (just) and I expect to be doing a little video or post on this soon.
Next up is our amazing bathroom, we both love the sea so this is slightly beach-themed. I love the sink as it’s set in to the window, I added the mirror and I love how it sits against the window. Jordan added the lighthouse which I adore!
Lastly is our super awesome kitchen, it’s absolutely huge, painted purple and the secret room (more on that tomorrow) looks out over it. We have huge sprawling windows in this room too, I didn’t photograph them fully but they go from floor to ceiling and the entire flat has really high ceilings with pretty cornices. The window seat is one of my favourite places, we get the sun from both directions which is lovely (it means we get woken up naturally but usually around 7am every day!). Again, the shelves are packed full of all sorts of things from recipe books to Jordan’s coffee obsession.
I hope you enjoyed this post. As promised, tomorrow’s post will feature the secret room (my office!). What do you think of our pretty flat?
