Jouer Matte Moisture Tint.
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint – £29 *
So after talking about this rather a lot over the last month, it’s only fair that I give you my full opinions on the base product I haven’t put down. So far, I’ve posted an Instagram snap, tweeted thrice, featured it in at least three videos and a blog post. That’s heavy going.
I actually find quite a lot of bases I like but few make it in to my daily routines on a regular basis – I have a video coming on this soon so keep an eye out. However, Matte Moisture Tint has done just that and a whole lot more; I’d say it’s a lighter, thicker version of Laura Mercier Silk Creme (gh0stparties number one foundation), it’s a little bit more natural on the skin but still covers all imperfections and blends in beautifully. Jouer simply call this a “moisture tint” so I’m not sure if this is meant to be a foundation (it could be) or a tinted moisturiser (it has skincare benefits so yep, could also be a TM) so I’m settling for simply, ‘base’.
I find that I only need a small amount of this, I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to work it in to my skin (tutorial here) and then add a little more to any areas that may need it, usually using my hands to blend it in. I have a normal skin type but I’d say it’s perfect for all as my skin can get a little oily during the day.
I love this because it covers all without looking caked on and blends in really evenly. Although it’s labelled a “matte” tint, it does have a slight dewy finish to it and I think the combination works to make your skin look like it’s wearing no makeup. Perfect!
