Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask.
Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask – £28 *
If anyone has ever tried the original pot of Moisture Surge, you’ll know it’s quite a gel-like consistency and they’ve used this in the mask version too – it’s somewhere between a gel and a cream so it’s plenty hydrating without the rich formula. I usually use a moisture mask after I’ve used a detoxing (usually clay) mask and/or a peel, so my skin has been thoroughly purified and is ready for a big helping of moisture. This routine makes aallll the difference to my skin and my favourite thing about this mask is that you just apply it like a moisturiser (although I tend to apply it like a mask, leave and then rub in before sleep) and leave it overnight. Most moisture masks I’ve used have to be cleaned off before sleep which is a little too much work for old lazy bones over here.
For me, I noticed a difference after one use – despite my skin not being in any way dry. My skin felt incredibly smooth and a lot more plump and bright, too. I use this once a week (sometimes twice) and always after a peel mask or exfoliation, it’s not too heavy or scented so I never break out and my skin is looking a lot healthier for it. If you do have a combination or oily skin type, do give moisture masks a chance as it’s likely to make a difference.
